After close to three years my old trustworthy Garmin 305 finally died about two months ago. So I went on Ebay and ordered a refurbished model on September 8 for $132.00 from a company with a 99.3% approval rating. Paid for it and received an acknowlegement that the watch was shipped and when I should be receiving it. Two weeks go by and no watch and couldn't really get any info from the seller.

So I contacted Ebay customer support and filed a claim against the seller. That night they responded they had closed my case in my favor and I would get a refund. Next morning (a Saturday) the funds were in my account.

So I went to Amazon and bought a new Garmin 305 for $138.00 last Friday with free super saver shipping. Received it at work today so charging the battery and will finish setting it up this afternoon.

I considered the newer garmin models but I really like the 305. It seems sturdier and more reliable plus less expensive than the new models.
