Got the basic starter unit with Wii Sports, one Wiimote and nunchuck. I'm looking for fun games for the family (kids are 5.5 & 9.5). Do I need 4 Wiimotes or just two? What games should I buy next?

Hook me up people!

Super Paper Mario

MySims - mind numbingly boring for adults, but kids - well I guess I can only speak for girls, will spend hours with it - you basically create people, houses stuff endlessly and the town grows and then you do more of it. No real goal other than the town growing I guess. My kids often spend a good chunk of time just creating their characters - their mii's, and not even playing the game, so I know this would go over well.

There's a mario party game that allows 4 players, but we rarely play it.

I would teach them all sorts of nifty sayings though, just think how proud you'd be at your next family gathering when your kids are spouting some of my more famous quotes.

my 9.5 yr old says Super Mario Galaxy is the way to go.
It looked way confusing for me so he's probably right.

We bought an extra remote and an extra nunchuk. good to have for some games and necessary when you kick the 5.5 yr old's butt in boxing.

We love Rayman for groups. And DH loves Guitar Hero and Super Mario Galaxy.

Make sure it's Rayman II though.

They might like that one because it has burping contests and spitting big snotwads into cup contests.

I bowled this morning for the first time in weeks. 154. I dropped 60 points in my standings. If I drop too much further, I'll lose my pro status.

next time smoke a Marlboro red and drink a Bud Light long neck - that seems to be really helpful for bowling...

We have Super Mario Galaxy, Wii Games (the indoor game one, which came with an extra wii-mote) and Star Wars so far. 2 Wiimotes and 2 nunchuks are plenty for now.

Have fun.

Hi ARC~ I have two boys, ages 8.5 and 5. DS8 spends lots of time on Super Paper Mario (he and his friends prefer it to Super Mario Galaxy which they say was too easy and too quickly 'defeated') and DS5 loves the Lego Star Wars Complete Saga. If your children are very sports interested/oriented then the Olmpics ones are great and exhausting! I also got the 'board games' one and we play each other and the computer on chess etc. But, I would put that in the disposable category, because one could, of course, just play the actual board game
