No run today due to road trip after work. I'll be getting in some walking this weekend but no runs, which is partly why I needed to get out last night.

Scheduled rest day. Can I say Ahhhhh?!?!

9m pace and 12m LR this weekend - while we're camping. We'll see how that goes. I'm bringing my running stuff and there's a great bike path there. My only excuse for not running will simply be "I don wanna". I'm actually very much looking forward to hanging out by a campfire and doing not much else.

I guess I'm resting too. We're heading to see my folks in CT right after work tonight, so there's no time tonight. I was planning on getting up early and getting a couple quick miles in first thing, but that didn't happen. Can't say I'm surprised about that...

Morning all! Needed the zzzzs this morning too + getting together laundry and dry cleaning and prepping Dillon to be taken to the boarder later today. Going for a run tonight in between laundry and packing for the Midwest.

I feel wonky to begin with (girl stuff), but then my left hip & butt ache too. Has to be from the butt tape yesterday. Weird.

Hi all...first off, good luck Duck! Ankle strength vibes to you on your relay. And racing mojo to anyone else who may be toeing the line this weekend

Got in 5.25 mi yesterday - much better run than Wednesday. For some unfathomable reason, the front of my quads became real sore yesterday. Didn't do any squat workouts or anything, and I don't get that type of soreness from running, unless I'm doing some big time downhills (which I wasn't on the Wed. run.) If anything, maybe a swim tonight - that usually leads to a nice quality sleep for me.

And oh yeah, Dan - time for you to Spartan up. I'm all set to grab this stuff come October

Greetings all.

I never did get to those last 2 miles run OR spinning last night. Major fatigue kicked in and hung on all day. Meh. I may or may not get a few miles in this evening. I should, but if it's not raining, the lawn is very much in need of mowing, and that will take priority. Weights/core will be done at some point today.

Are my Saturday Morning Sistahs running with me again tomorrow for our LR's?

Almost mis-read the weather this morning and TM'd my 3 miler, but realized it was clearing up instead of clouding up so I ran my 3 outside. It was quite a nice run and felt good. And now it's raining again, so I timed things very well. 5 miles tomorrow.

No run for me today but I'm taking both the kids and my two dogs out for a walk around the lagoon this morning. That's always a couple of miles of serious exercise for me since the dogs have to be leashed and that's really the last thing they want to be doing in a lagoon setting.

LR first thing tomorrow morning. I have 16 miles on tap, but hoping to go a little further if I feel good.

Good Luck Duck!!

I took Pico Freako for a nice long walk. He was ready to lie down before we got home. heh.

I did think about getting out there and getting the 9m pace run and done today and only having the 12m LR run to do while camping. But my feet are thanking me for the rest day. They've been feeling a little crunchy, especially the first steps out of bed. And the chafing could certainly use a day to heal up a bit. My God, this is the Summer of Chafe. I have never been so hyperaware of my my nether regions as I have been this summer.

It's kinda hard not to run though. My legs feel a little itchy and twitchy. I'ma thinking that this time around it's going to be a rough taper for me.

K, I'm off to pack! Whee!

Another couple of miles here - that makes 7 consecutive days of running. It's nice to be back into a routine.

This afternoon I located the scale that I had been using from 2006-2008 (they moved it to the other side of the locker room) and it said that I only have 39 pounds to go until I'm back in fighting shape (in contrast to almost 50 earlier) so I guess that's sort of good news.

And I also don't think I'll be running New Haven this year. I'd really like to but I think the smart thing to do is to hold off until I have a bigger base under my belt - you know, until October where I'm running the Hartford half...

Good luck on all your workouts this weekend, everyone!

3 miles this morning in the thick of the humidity. I decided to go down to the waterfront boardwalk, figured the breeze would feel good. It did. But I came across 3 big bags of McD's garbage scattered all over the boardwalk and it really pissed me off. Why do people have to be such slobs? I stopped to pick it all up and put it in the garbage. Then found a nice sign all busted up. So not only were the litter bugs out last night, but the vandals were too. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. I brought the signs into my office and I'll email Parks and Grounds to see who can fix them.

I'm planning a longish run tomorrow. Not super long, but longer than my week runs since I have the time. Maybe a rest day on sunday, seeing as I'm planning on going out for drinks tomorrow night. Then I'm running a 3 mile race on monday (we have a civic holiday here) morning.

I was going to take today off from running, but it was sooooo nice out this morning (65*!) that I did an easy 3 miles.

Then I did ~.25mi open water swim here at the shore.
