Hello, Is there an equation for figuring out the run/walk ratio to maintain a certain pace? So if I want to average an 10, 11, or 12 minute mile over the run portion of the triathlon, how fast and how long are the run/walk segments. Thanks Scott

Depends how long and how frequently you want the walk portions to be, as well as your run and walk paces. Give all those to me and I can give you your answer. Or you can go out experiment on the roads, which is what I'd probably recommend anyway - that way you know what works for you.

Hi Scott!

I used to be the Assistant PD for our local Galloway group. The foundation of our marathon training is run/walk intervals. I can shoot a spreadsheet your way, as well!
