Morning peeps. Just now catching up on the happenings of yesterday. Big hugs out to Torque. Very sad news, but nice to hear you were able to say goodbye.

Another crazy busy day for me. Hopefully by the end of the day I will have a break though and it won't spill too much into the weekend. I need a weekend at this point.

Morning all
Mindi my work people and I are heading to the new Dane on Cottage Grove Road tonight. have you been there yet???
 
We had a bit of snow last night but nothing major it's the 12 degrees that irkes me
 
no plans this weekend other than to stay home. It's my first weekend home since Nov 20th. I need to dust in the worst way and get a bunch of other stuff done that I usually have done by the 1st of the year. So this weekend is going to be my New Years cleaning binge I think.

Snow day for the kiddies here, even though we only have a dusting. We get robo-called from the schools now. And because our kids are in three different schools, we get called three times - 5:00, 5:40, and 6:15. So just in case you thought the kids would sleep in for a snow day, you wake them up 3x. DW is a little annoyed, but she headed off to the gym anyways. Roads were fine coming in this morning - just a dusting.

Hey, everyone. I have strep. The only real symptom is painful swallowing and I just started the antibiotics. Hopefully this will be cleared up soon. I'm glad I called the doctor. I'm going to make jello and eat popsicles for breakfast.

Ooh, here's something fun: 
Last night, my 3 year old was watching Dora. In the episode, Dora was talking about various things she might want to be when she grows up. So when the episode was over, I asked my daughter what she wanted to be when she grew up. I was assuming she'd just pick one of the things Dora said, because that would be fresh in her mind. But she said "When I grow up, I want to run with Daddy". That really made me smile. <img alt="biggrin.gif" class="bbcode_smiley" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/biggrin.gif">

That is neat, Bob! Ah, Dora...Lena LOVES Dora. At least Dora teaches her good stuff. 
 
Happy Ukrainian Christmas! I was hoping to find a place that was serving some traditional grub, but so far no luck.

We got some sticky snow last night but now it's raining so I'm not sure how long it'll stick around. If it's still there after work we'll build a snowman.

Torque, I am so sorry. (((((((((((((((((((((((((((((Torque)))))))))))))))))))))))))) you've had your fair share of sadness the last few months.
 
Feel better Prae! My office sounds like a TB ward. We're all run down and worn out and most of us are coughing or sneezing or both.
 
I never got to tap the other night, as I mentioned, but I hope to go this coming week. And my friend is trying to convince me to take a flamenco class with her! I would love to, but I'm away 2 of the 6 weeks of the class. Might not be worth it. We shall see.
 
QOD: What're people's plans this weekend?
 
Tonight, I'm planning to snuggle up with my dog and cat and do nothing. Tomw I'm going to a clothing swap then a birthday party in the evening. The theme? "Think Pink". The honoree? a man. I <3 my friends. I'm hoping to find him a great tie or something...in pink of course! The Guy might come with me if the planets align. We'll see.
 
Sun, not too much on my agenda, but I hope to go to that open house I posted the link to yesterday. Lovely house, but far from Boston. I don't know if I want to commute 20 mi every day. In Boston, that's likely to be an hour plus no matter what.

If you guys have vibes to spare, I'll take them. I need vibes of the Please don't let Theia kill anyone, curse loudly and inappropriately in the office, or storm out the front door in a fit of rage variety. Yeah, it's been that kind of week, and there's no end in sight (the project ends at the end of February, but depending on the result the drama may continue for MONTHS afterward). Whew. Spent the morning trying to contain my yarn stash & clean up the sewing room. Haven't done it in waaaaay too long, and it's kind of become a dump room.
 
I knit all the time! How did I accumulate this much yarn???? Oy. At least my head doesn't feel like it will explode when I walk in the room, so that's good progress! <img alt="wink.gif" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/wink.gif">

Prae - rest up and get better. QOD - Shoveling, hockey, getting DS#1 into and out of NYC for two rehearsals. A couple of runs and some football. Maybe skiing on Sunday. I have had a good week diet and exercise-wise, do not want to blow it over thw weekend.
