Well I used to start these monthly threads and why not for old times sake. :)

The good. I have started back with my running, stationary bike and home gym workouts this week. My goal is to participate in our 5k on the 26th. It will take a lot of work on my part to not embarrass myself. hehehe.

The bad. My weight is still at my all time highest at 232. I want to lose about 5 pounds or so in February through watching my diet and the workouts that I previously listed. I also took measurements of me waistline but we won't go there in public. ROFL But sometimes it helps to do a self evaluation even though the results will be awful. You have to know where you came from (the pits) in order to measure your progress. I really want to make this year a positive triumph in regards to taking better care of myself.

Anyone else have any goals for the month? There is no requirement to list weights or measurements. It is just a great time to start fresh or to keep on rocking strong- depending on where you are your fitness life cycle.

1. Increase my bike fitness. Saturday's class was FROM HELL, and it was the last of the so-called easy classes. We're about to start the four-week strength phase of the program, which means the classes are going to be much harder. So I guess my official goal is to not die in my performance cycling class.

2. Get in the damn pool already.

3. I too would like to drop 5 or more pounds.

I have 4 big weeks ahead of me for my Eugene training. I want to hit all of my miles and workouts, plus add in the bike regularly. I'd love to drop 5 lbs this month, but frankly I'd be thrilled with just 3.
