Because it's a terrible thing to lose one's miles...

This is (a slightly early edition) of the February Masters' Miles thread. This is where we, every month, post the total number of miles run or walked for the month. Shortly after monthend, your faithful tallykeeper will total the numbers, run some mind-bending statistical analysis (courtesy the Analysis Took-Pak in Excel) and post some awards.

If you have a PR, brag on it!

Because I'll be rather occupied as the month rolls over, I won't be back to crunch the numbers until March 3, so you will have plenty of time to get your data in. I'd appreciate it if someone bumps the thread from time to time while I'm away. Late entries will be included in the total data as I catch them, but I won't adjust the prizes.

Here's a refresher of January's results:

7,852.06 miles, 55 reporting

Mostest Miles: alan fletcher, 315 miles
Awesome Average: Dirt the other white meat, 142.4 miles
Median Midpacker: Paul, who landed one notch down the list from Dirt, 140.4 miles

105.4 miles for February

(I realized I was overtraining -- 28 straight days without a complete rest day, ramping up the biking and swimming -- so I had to cut back on the running to avoid exhaustion. Smart move! I ran well in Arizona.)

Normally I wouldn't even post this, but my total is:

1 (O-N-E) mile!

That's right: One as in uno, eins, ichi, yksi, unum, ...

I'm resting today and will be running 4 miles tomorrow, so I will have a total of:

102 miles for February.
YTD: 192 miles

Not a PR in monthly mileage and no PR's for racing this month either.

This is my first post in a while (stress fractures do that to a person) and I can't believe it but I actually have more miles than someone (rochrunner has 1) with my 3.3 .

I don't think I'll be "mostest miles" this month.... Took 6 days off to avert (hopefully) an achilles problem I was starting to feel.

Assuming tomorrow goes as planned, I'll be 198 for the month. it is my biggest February every, but I know that doesn't really count as a PR

Did have one race, which was a new PR for the half marathon (1:27:25)

55.12 miles (per mapping websites).
Probably my personal best month EVER! I have never built mileage this consistently - helps to have something to train for, apparently, and not partying 3-4 nights a week like I did in my 20's probably also has something to do with it.

Although, I suppose if I had been able to add up all the miles run on an Ultimate field, maybe 55 miles wouldn't be such a big deal.
