Misty murky morning run of 10 miles that turned into 10.5 due to inattention to the route.

My running partner had one near public "assplosion" but the open restrooms @ the HS solved that issue just fine.

I'm starting to feel some mojo again...

Don - did I miss your RR?

Sitch - good to hear that you are getting some mojo back.

Thor - you got to post a pic doing this 'Bob workout DVD' with your lovely wife.

18.5miles, a rough long run. HR low at a decent pace, just tired/heavy legs, at the end of another 60+mpw. Happy to get it done in a better fashion than how it started. It takes a while to get going with a long run these days mainly because I don't have any rest days leading up to it with this training plan.

Assplosion...that's quite possibly one of the funniest things I've ever heard. 14m run this morning with A #1 running partner. Interestingly, I got in my car to drive to her house, and had to wait 10 minutes for my car to de-ice. Kind of a weird alternate universe start to the day. It was 34 degrees when we started (thought I should have worn tights instead of shorts), and 48 by the time we finished (glad I wore shorts after all).

Nice work all, X looks like your doing great for the marathon prep.

I came down the stairs on Friday with a straight leg too hard and heard a pop and went down the stairs. My leg I'm recovering from tendonitis. Back to no running and full recovery mode. No wasn't drunk just stupid. Able to get in 60 decent minutes on the trainer today though. Typical luck this time of year for me.

Next week start training with my new team. One of our sponsors is a beer company! Just up my alley.

16 miles. The first twelve were great and then I had to turn into the wind to go home and then it started raining. Yeah, the last 4 miles sucked.

Stitch - good to hear your mojo has returned.

Thor - Bob?

Mike - nice job on the long run! Was the out and back on Lincoln St just to get the distance even?

Yoshiko - kick ass run! Your training is going well, looking forward to seeing what you do on Patriot's day.

Scott - heal quickly friend. Um, I'm thinking that RonBo and I will need to sample some of your sponsorship goods. 312 Urban Wheat Ale! Hmmm, good beer!

Hobey - hope you're enjoying a recovery drink!

DOR for me. Left Wisconsin early intending to get an afternoon run in, but decided recovery was more important since my quads are sore. I'm either getting smarter or becoming a wimp. I guess time will tell which one.

Hope the rest of your Sunday is great, tri-peeps!

Yosh - Don hid is RR in yesterday's workouts!

Equipment: Adidas XC Racer

Cool/low 40s - Sunny and extremely strong wind w/gusts of 50+. PPRR Winter Series #4. The course is mostly on dirt roads in Black Forest. Almost constant hills. From about mile 8 to 11.5, the course was exposed to the wind and it was very difficult to keep a strong pace. Nothing like running uphill into a 50+ mph headwind to slow down the pace a bit. 3rd in AG.

Me today... slept like CRAP. Got up middle of the night with a sore throat (not uncommon this time of year after long run, so I don't worry) and just couldn't get to sleep (for me a LONG time to get to sleep is like 5min). Finally got up and to the gym....

35min run (supposed to be 45min) FIB

Group ride 3hrs. w/ some ball buster warmups - 20s @ 400watts and 10s rest - repeat 8x. Holy crap I think my trainer was going to explode! It sure sounded like it! (when we do group spin @ club I bring my cheap Mag trainer) - then coach tony have mercy 2 hour deal - then screwing around. Had company for the first 2:15 which really helped because I'm just dragging ass today. 19hour training week and I'm TIRED. Recovery week next week.... good thing so I can fight off this bug!

Scott - WTF? There's no stairs allowed until race season OVER! Until then, go "evaluate" the sponsors :)

2.2 hour trainer ride. Felt better than I have felt all week...almost "normal" unless I move too quickly. We'll see tomorrow morning if I overdid it today.

Nice catch Ronbo! I did sorta hide the report. It was the final race of a 4 race series. I had one not so great race and lost time. I needed to beat the guy ahead of me in the series standings by about 2:40. We ran side by side until around 8.5 miles. He slowed to get a drink from tha aid station there and I made my move. I pushed as hard as I could go into the brutal wind and beat him to the 20K finish by 2:10. Not quite good enough. I did get 3rd in AG for the race but 4th for the series. Maybe next year!

This series draws some serious runners. A couple of the races were won by guys from the Army's World Class Athlete program. One of them won some national level 5K championship a few months ago. The short series was won by a pro triathlete who won IM St. George last year. He ran a 33 minute 10K in the hills and wind yesterday.

BTW, nice workout Ron!

14.3 miles at the Hyannis 1/2 Marathon. 2:08, but a little too fast for a training run. Hip flexor got pissed off and my foot started to hurt. I'm really starting to worry about this foot thing 8 weeks out from Boston :(

Thanks Mike, I'll get you after I finish, and you've had time for your lunch, nap, shower, and enough beers that I have a chance to take you!
