I am mostly a Classic Rock fan although I love classical, jazz, blues, SRV of course.....some new rock, even love Willie Nelson but most country not. ZZ Top has some great ones for running...Allman Bros, Moody Blues, and of course I have ALL the Led Zeppelin albums.
Until I got my 8 gig player I would switch it up quite often but now I just loaded a bunch of my library (I've got like 43 gigs on harrdrive plus a few of those zip folder cd holders) and just let it play random. If I don't love the song that comes on for the tempo of my run I hit forward. And, I DO Listen running, but NEVER ever on a bike.

If you've never tried podcasts those can be fun too. I can post the URLS of some that I like when I get home. The Roadhouse is a great blues one. And there are talk ones on any subject including running.
