riley....I've seen Derek Trucks perform a couple of times and he's quite a talent. I like his wife's music as well (Susan Tedeschi). I've seen her live three times and enjoyed them all. I'm just a big blues fan all the way around. Some good rockin blues for treadmill running comes from Tommy Castro, Doyle Bramhall, Coco Montoya, Shemekia Copeland, Jonny Lang, Deborah Coleman, and of course the oldie but goodie, SRV. Some of the more mellow stuff for those easy relaxing runs includes Keb Mo, Robert Cray, Robben Ford, and even some Delbert McClinton. From Muddy Waters, to Howlin Wolf, to Buddy Guy, to Albert Collins, to Koko Taylor, to Charlie Musselwhite.....it's all good. A few other odds and ends choices include John Hiatt, Lucinda Williams, Colin James, and Edwin McCain. It's all about matching the music to the mood of the day.

I don't listen to music when I run outdoors. Too many good sights and sounds out there.

sierra.....you have good taste. I have seen Debbie Davies live, but only once when she played a local blues fest. It came a big rainstorm in the middle and she just kept on rockin.

riley.....I have seen Will Hoge perform a couple of times. He is originally from Nashville, and he plays in my area fairly regularly.
