for when you need a pick-me-up on the run.<br><br>
Inspired from the movie thread, I was curious as to what one song (right now) is the one that gets you pumped up and back into a training run.<br><br>
Right now mine is Only the Young by Journey...off of the Vision Quest soundtrack.

This is going to sound weird, but Jackson Browne, "Late for the Sky." I know it's fairly slow and not that motivational, but I've done so many long runs listening to Jackson Browne, that anytime I hear him, I think of training.

there's some others, but that's far and away the go-to song for me.

It changes frequently for me, but the other night KT Tunstall's Black Horse and the Cherry Tree came on as I was finishing my last mile of a run and it was exactly what I needed right then to pick up the pace and finish.

Best. Album. Evah.<br><br><i>How long have I been sleeping<br>
How long have I been drifting alone through the night<br>
How long have I been running for that morning flight<br>
Through the whispered promises and the changing light<br>
Of the bed where we both lie<br>
Late for the sky</i><br><br>
But I don't run with music.

When I was listening to music....<br><br>
I used Navy running cadences.<br>
Nothing like a bunch of buff Seals, Seabees, Marines and DIs yelling that the "hurt so good!!!"<br><br>
I even managed to increase their pace to help me learn to run quicker.<br>
Don't think it worked too well....but it was fun to listen to them!

Walking down the coridor between changing room and gym at our gym with the Rocky theme on the headphones always makes me want to do the Ali-shuffle as I enter the big room. <img alt="smile.gif" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/smile.gif"><br><br>
The new Nickelback album's good to train to.

This is my favorite remix of that song.<br><br>
E,W&F vs. Phats and Small "September '99".<br><br><a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gNhlCu4VBNo" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gNhlCu4VBNo</a><br><br>
If you can find the remix get it. That one is must. It's much better in stereo and loud. The one always made the floor go nutz.
