Morning!

Yay - it was 62 degrees this am for my run. I logged 9 miles with 5 x 600 m; 90 sec recoveries. First interval work in weeks and it went pretty well!

This morning's fitness intentions were ruined by work last night. I have a few options for the day, but I'm not sure which will actually happen.

Didn't run this morning. Both girls woke up early so I was on breakfast duty. But there's a 1 mile race around the park later so I figure I'll take the girls out for a run and take that in while I'm at it. I hope it's not too warm!

I didn't run this morning. I'm in a deep blue funk. Tired of being an adult and all the financial and emotional burden that comes with it. Today I would like to turn in my Grown Up Card and be 9 years old again. I'm sure I would have felt better had I gone for a run but instead I sat and drank coffee and sulked.

Hi all - first off, GREAT news to hear about your sister, Maria - wishing her a speedy recovery.

10.5 miles late yesterday, which was a lot longer than I was planning to run actually. Just before my run, I decided I wanted to stop by my brother's place to wish him a happy birthday in person, but the family wasn't in. I think they went to go celebrate together since today is first school day for the year for their kidlets.

Way to get out there Mindi and Litch!

I second Litch's suggestion for you BigG re: a mental health day.

Saw this t-shirt on a guy on the flight into ATL last week en route to Columbus and thought it was super cool, so I took a pic with my cell phone. The guy said he's actually 10 years removed from HS and runs only casually now, but added he definitely appreciated the weather out on the left coast here compared to back home

Ran track last night. 6 800s at tempo pace. well, it was supposed to be at tempo pace. We were fast the entire time. I ended the night taking home a 6 pack of beer and a $30 bottle of wine. NICE

Made it to the Y track last night for a quick easy 5 after DD's parents' night at school. Then, met up with my group this morning for the usual Wed morning run. The pace was pretty rediculous right from the start. I decided to dial it back and cut it short at the water fountain at 3.1 miles. Turned out to be a good call since nature called about .75 miles before the porta-johns. Logged 6.1 @ 7:45 pace. And, I still have something left in the tank for run #2 tonight.

The Brooks Bus is going to be at our LRS for our Wed night run. Should be a good time.

3.2 beautimous miles this morning with Tonya. First run since Friday. Felt great just being out there, plus I had new shoes and new shorts on.

Is it the blues... or the Mean Reds?

The blues are because you're getting fat and maybe it's been raining too long, you're just sad that's all. The mean reds are horrible. Suddenly you're afraid and you don't know what you're afraid of. Do you ever get that feeling?

Actually feeling pretty good today. Gasp! I did an unplanned run!! Felt fabulous.

Hugs to BigG...

Nice runs so far today, RIL, Litch, Maria, KP, & T. Wow, that's a lot of AM runners!

I'm gonna get out for some speedwork this evening. I haven't decided if I'll do a long tempo run, or some fast intervals. I'm leaning towards the intervals because it's been longer since I've done a run like that...

By the way, Maria, I saw that you answered me the other day that you've registered for New Haven. Last year I did it in 1:36, and I was initially thinking of shooting for 1:30 this year. My thought was "Hey, it's only six minutes, it's not that much to chop off". But then I realized that six minutes is 30 seconds per mile, which means it'd require about a 7:15 pace. I think that would be biting off a wee bit more than I can chew. Maybe I can handle a 7:30 pace. You think you might want to try and run that with me?

Morning. Late night last night. Went out for a quick 4.25 miles. Shhh, don't tell coach. I was only supposed to run 4 at most. Grrr. I was actually going to take the night off, but started feeling guilty and went out there and ran.

Went to the Twins game last night. Crazy, good game. Went extra innings with a sweet walk-off HR by Thome against his old team. My dad had no voice left. Him and I are going to the game again tonight. It's been a really fun couple of games.

Probably doing another four before the game tonight.
