Groin finally felt ok enough that I thought I could do the butt tape without pissing it off, so I did that for the first time in a couple months (OW!) and ran 3 miles. Suffocatingly humid out. I'm sweating like 10 whole men. Gak.

Like a dog, Bleu enjoys having his hindquarters scratched!

Thought you'd like to know he has been talked about a lot here the last few days as the boys get ready to start biking to school again. Helmets, listening, looking, safety. You can't help it when drivers don't look, but we can't make out kids proactive enough about their surroundings.

Thanks, and good!

Sisterleenie got both her boys some cool helmets, so they don't give her too much flack about wearing them. And after this, well..... Ironically enough, N#1's helmet looks like a crash test dummie. I'll have to get the name of the company that makes them and pass it on.

QOD: Not racing, but we are going up to the lake Saturday afternoon to see my inlaws. We've not been able to stay over night in a long time because the dogs aren't allowed in anyone's house, but my SIL refinished the attic over their garage (sanded & painted floors, put up new drywall, a/c), and offered to have us and the boys stay up there. We'll come home Sunday morning though, because Dh has to work Sunday night. What I'm looking forward to the most is firing my new kiln for the first time and potentially having the knitters over to knit on my back deck either Sunday or Monday afternoon.
