House alarm went off at 2 AM. That's not a good thing and scary in the middle of the night, but we think was our cat trying to pry the door open. A) It's 2 AM and cold, WTF, kitty? 2) This has happened before and f the door contacts are really THAT sensitive, time for some weekend projects...

Okay, now that I know everything is okay, it was hard not to laugh at that scenario. Not that it was in the least bit funny in the morning, I'm sure. I'd have tossed the dogs in the bathroom, closed the door, and grabbed some weaponry to await what I assume would be coming to my closed bedroom door. Your kittykitty is going to find some double sided tape on the door, me thinks. At least until a bigger weekend project gets that door to shut securely without any movement!

Our Saturday went from way over-committed to BARELY committed, and I'm totally excited! Now, to have the discipline to spend the time wisely!

I went to the gym this morning. 10 min walk - 10 min run/walk intervals - 10 min walk. Slight aggravation in the heal, but no pain (yet, sometimes it comes later in the day). Also spent some time in the cage going through the stuff the PT has me do. I might need a cage at home. If I win a big jackpot, I'll get one

Yah for getting back to the Gym and for hardly-committed weekends! WTF is this cage you speak of, though?

Ailarie - feeling better?

No run for me today again. Fun: packet pickup this afternoon for the Haunted Hustle Marathon. As I mentioned previously, I signed up for the full a few weeks ago knowing it would sell out. I can switch to the half for no fee, so I am going to. Although I am not going to race it. 13ish is about the distance I was thinking of running this weekend anyway and it will be a lot more fun with hundreds of other people. I'll probably plan to run 9 m/m. This is kind of outside my territory though - I have never run a race as a training run. So that will be hard. But I know I am not ready to race it and I know I want to race a half the following weekend, so I know I can keep myself in check.

Thanks for asking. Still fighting some congestion and medium to mild vertigo, but both are sllloooowwwwllly disappearing. I wish they'd disappear a bit faster though. I have another HM on Thanksgiving and would prefer not to lose a lot of cardio/muscle strength between now and then!

Btw - how are YOU doing? Still fighting the congestion crap? Take it easy on your HM this weekend.. just trot along and enjoy the scenery!

Good/bad - I realized this morning that the concert I thought was tonight is actually tomorrow night. Good because I am tired and going out tonight was not appealing. Bad, Saturday night downtown on Halloween weekend plus 2 parties we can't go to now (one of them being sages) plus I got an email from friend saying she can't wait for Saturday night and to see us but I have no recollection of what I have planned with her.

LOL.. yah for getting a get-to-bed-early free night, but boooo for being so overbooked and missing Sage's pah-tay!

Nothing else for me - just hoping to make it through the next two days: we're hosting a big volleyball tourney today and tomorrow that I've got to cover simply because tomorrow we also have a big soccer doubleheader that I can't work in my present condition. I'd much rather be at the soccer game tomorrow - not that I dislike volleyball!!!! - but the soccer game is the last regular season match with a big rival and the outcome will determine the final standings in the conference.

Glad to hear that the new split is working well. boo hiss on missing the soccer game though. Go go #17! (yes, I still remember him!) /snicker

The foot shot wasn't too graphic.

Not something I'd want to check out at lunch time of course, but not too bad at all!

Yah for seeing you here, KJ, and a double RAWR for Grayson's 1 year birthday! You guys have been on an amazing (both in pleasing and scary emotions, alike) roller coaster ride this year!

Btw - does anyone in the know happen to have info on when the new Mizuno wave riders should be out? I've heard Nov/Dec, but am getting a little antsy about wondering when. Supposedly, the fit (especially around the heel area) returns to be more like the preceding model, which makes me (and my achilles) very happy. RIL - was it you that used the 14's and they didn't work for you, either? If I've got that backwards and they DID work - do you by chance happen to want a pair of 9.5's? Mine (orange trim) have probably less than 30 miles on them, and I just can't wear them. Even walking in them one day was annoying my achilles. So... either I find someone who could make use of em, or they get tossed in the goodwill pile. Speak up if anyone is interested!
