Tree went up last weekend

I ran the Bartram 100 and took a 100K finish. I had a really nasty fall about 4 miles before I hit 100K. Worse fall I ever had on the trail, by FAR. I thought I had broken my arm. My friend who was running with me, she and i walked to the start/finish and there was no medic, so we decided to do a "spur" to complete the 100K. One very nice runner there is an ER nurse and CAME TO MY HOTEL! and checked me out and says it is a very bad bone bruise. I am relieved. But still in pain. there was some really thick matted grass (like 18-24 inches?) and there was a root. I caught it and flew up in the air and landed square on my knee and arm. I just laid there for at least five minutes before i could get up. Sigh. The race was great for an inaugural race and I would go back. There was heavy freezing rain, but that is VERY unusual for that area of GA.
