<p>I trotted myself right over to the table where the pie is. Twice. Sometimes they "I'm injured" excuse works to my favor (though it would have been a gorgeous day to go for a run)</p>

<p>5 mile Turkey Trot in Traverse City, Michigan.  42 degrees and windy but flat.  Alot of turkey, and whiskey afterwards, watching the Packers/Lions game.  The better team won.</p>

<p><span style="color:#8b4513;">My Turkey Trot was a blast this Year !  About seven miles of splashing thru piles of leaves, tripping on wet roots and getting muddy on the water log trails.</span></p>

<p><span style="color:#8b4513;">Mid event found us having a go at  the</span> <span style="color:#ff8c00;"><span style="font-size:16px;"><strong>Tri-A-Trot</strong></span></span> <span style="color:#8b4513;">again this year  ... <strong>(1)</strong> Sliding down the <strong>Big Slide</strong>, pony tails flying on the  <strong>(2)</strong> <strong>Push-n-Spin</strong> and  Pumping hard on the  <strong>(3) Kiddie Swings  </strong> . . . .  <span id="user_yui_3_4_1_21_1322240661204_16"><img alt="laughing6.gif" id="user_yui_3_4_1_7_1322240661204_368" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/laughing6.gif" style="width:15px;height:15px;"></span>   <em><span style="font-size:16px;">Yipee !!</span></em></span></p>

<p><span style="color:#8b4513;">All that followed by a full post race buffet of  apple turnovers, Pizza and Salsa flovored Combos,  Freakin' Hot Jalapeno Slim Jims, Flaming Hot Cheetos,  Lime Chips and Hummus and hot cider  with The Captain .  Yum. </span></p>

<p style="text-align:center;">Bailed on this morning's (self-invented) Fall Fowl Fifty... Foul mood. Beautiful day, trails were just swamped with runners and MTBers - all concentrated into a few parks thanks to firearms deer season. We'll see what tomorrow brings... ;-)</p>
