I've taken some time off from running after much consideration but don't want to lose aerobic capacity or leg strength.

Any excercise programs out there so I know I'm doing the right thing? Right know I just change machines each day with no rhyme or reason.

Any help would be appreciated.

can you bike? If you are at a gym, it may not hurt to meet with a trainer for one or two sessions to come up with a training regime for you.

Hey meri!

Yeah, I've taken a spinning class (which kicked my butt) and I've got another tomorrow.

I'm planning on meeting with a trainer but am looking for something to get me started 'cuz I don't have time for the meet this week.

I did 45 minutes of elliptical (which still doesn't even seem like a workout) and then did 30 mins of stairmaster (which was a moderate workout).

Also, try going backwards on the elliptical, i find it mixes things up nicely.

you will be abck before you know it and won't have lost anything...I am sure of it. In the meantime, try to enjoy the diversity and remember how good it is for your body to take a breather from the same activity all the time!
