High Heat - how did you get interested in photography? were you inspired by a particular photographer or a specific shot? Did anyone else in your family show an interest or practice photography?

I was a Quartermaster. Which means I'm the one with the compass and the chart and who knows where we are, where we're going, and what bearing is necessary to get there. <img alt="smile.gif" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/smile.gif">

It's been 13 years since I had a compass in my hand, but I can still read a nautical chart pretty well. <img alt="smile.gif" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/smile.gif"> In fact, my friend Zach would have been lost if I hadn't been looking at the chart one day when we were out on his boat.<br><br>
I looked at the light that was near us, the landmarks, the located of the other points on the chart and said "We missed that inlet, we're here."<br><br>
He looked at his GPS and back at me and said "This is new." <img alt="smile.gif" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/smile.gif"><br><br>
I figure, when the apocalypse comes to pass, I'll help navigate should we need to find a desert island somewhere.
