I know this is a long shot, but there are a few of us on here, and why shouldn't we get the chance to say hi, find out who and where we all are, and maybe even plan a meet at some event on this side of the Ocean - I have been lucky to meet a lot of the Virtual People on here as I have travelled to, and run in the US on many occasions, and continue to do so, but lets get the EuroZone a mention

I'm in Dublin, Ireland, and have run in the UK, and marathons in Prague and Rotterdam on the mainland Europe - I am running Connemara in April and will be pacing a friend in Dublin, my home race, in October, whilst also doing a few more trips stateside too

So, come on Fellow Europeans/Brits/Irish - Let me know I am not alone

Hi Liam,

See you in Conn!

It'll be my 14th marathon. The majority of them have been in Ireland with the occasional one offshore - Paris, Edinburgh, Amsterdam and ... Cork which almost qualifies as another country.

51 or so days to go!!! I'm in Wicklow, so running my local hills should, in theory, help come the big day.

Cheers.

Run while you can...

I see LIVE people

Ran Connie in 06, so must be mad going back for more - Will make 24 for me, with Dublin and Connie being the only Irish finishes, although I did marshall at Cork last year, and I have started Belfast -

Staying at the Courtyard Marriott in Galway, Sat & Sun this year.

Hi Liam. I live in Florida, but the dw and I will be travelling to Ireland for our 10 year anniversary in June. Specifically to Dublin and surrounding area. Maybe I can lean on you for some info on places to run ?

Hi all,

Heading out for my morning hill run shortly...

I did Cork as well last year Liam. Didn't take it too seriously though and walked some bits at the end as I had managed to get myself talked into running a long leg of the Wicklow way relay the next week and walked to have at least something in reserve

Staying in Leenane myself with family and friends (who have cheated and only signed up for the half!)

valricokirk - it picked a good time to visit. In Dublin the Phoenix park is a great running resource. I'd recommend a trip to the Dublin / Wicklow mountains if you can. If its a race you want there should be events on. runireland.com usually has up-to-date lists of races. Myself, I may run in Cork at the start of June, and then do some hill races over the rest of the month (www.imra.ie).

Happy running.

Thanks for the suggestion on the race site Slogger. I'll check that out. And Liam, thanks for your PM's and suggestions as well. We've just about finalized our plans, so hopefully I can get back to you soon with more details. Take care. Kirk

Staying in Galway for Connemara @ the Courtyard, Marriott - Decided on the City this year - Partying on Sunday night might be better - assuming I can still walk to the Pubs
