This is becoming habitual. Morning, My Pretties!

It's very grey here. I've got a quiet work day ahead of me. ho hum

QOD: Regardless of the travel you've done so far in your life, if you only had one more trip in you to do, where would you go and why?

...had the most awesome conversation with the priest. I was so happy I picked a really good one (there were 13 there).

1) YAY!!! That's a nerve racking thing to do anyway, and when you get stuck with a grumpy one it's just terrible.

2) I'm sorry about the job thing. Your co-workers are butt heads. And why do they get to vote on you anyway?

3) Where do you want to live?

Lots of places around here carry burts. I'll look too.

Ailarie - Scotland is incredibly beautiful. Green like you've never seen, sheep dotting the mountains, amazing castles, pipers everywhere. I'd go back in a heart beat.

"Do dogs poop?

Here's a dog poop story for Lena:

Last night when I got home I took the boys out so they could do their thing. Since our back yard isn't fenced, we walk (with them on leashes) down the street. A number of cars were driving down the street on their way home from work. A few houses down from ours Jack squats in the tree lawn and lays a pile. I had a bag ready to pick it up, but Jack starts kicking and LAUNCHES the turds out into the middle of the street. Seriously, it was like straight out of a movie. Jack standing there kicking with his back legs, really digging in with his toes and kicking hard and looking all proud of himself, and me, watching the turds flying (their arc was as tall as me) out into the street, right in front of a car.

The car ran the turds over.

We 3 stood there for a minute. The boys looking at me and me looking at the turds smeared on the street, debating. I decided I wasn't going to try to pick (wipe?) them up and we walked back home.

YES!!! Get as much practice as you can over the next year and do that!

DUCK!!!

Thanks for the info the other night. I think that's a bit more than she wants to spend though. And I think she would do better with a traditional keyboard.

OMG, Kath, I am crying laughing here! I just pasted your story into an email for my sister.

Also, thanks! If you see it, just check the bottoms of the boxes...if there's web info, it's the old formula.

I keep picturing turds flying through the air in slow motion.

Fun:

Front row - 4 bunnies glazed white with pink noses and black eyes. I'll fire them tomorrow.

Middle row - a set of frogs (the ridges in the back are to catch the blue/green glaze I'm going to use), and a set of sheep. These will be bisque fired tomorrow.

Back row - another set of bunnies (I'll bisq them tomorow) and a set of turtles (bisq fired, I'll glaze them Saturday)

They're small projects that don't make much of a mess, so I've been pinching them out in the living room (on the floor with a lap desk over my legs) while hanging out with Dh. He just shakes his head at me while I work on them, because they make me giggle while working on them.

The flying turds story reminds of a somewhat similar diaper related incident, I had the same slow motion feeling as I watched it sail off the changing table and into the kitchen....NNOOOOooOOOooooaoooO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maureen: I'll be happy to check for some of your cream, how many do you want to stockpile? What's the shelf life of Burt's Bees stuff?

((((((((((((Prae)))))))))))))))) That just blows.

Fun: New Hair. DS opted NOT to go get his bad haircut repaired so I took his appointment time and indulged in some hair colorrrrrrr. I needed a boost and to get rid of all these thousands of new gray hairs that DS has caused.

More Fun: Found a delicious brand of Greek yogurt on sale at my grocery store for 79 CENTS per container. Love the Greek yogurt, do not love the price tag. What I really need to do is make

me some more yogurt at home.

I know, pretty lame fun. It's the little things that get me through the day now.

Should be fine for at least a year and I use about a jar every 6 weeks, so whatever I can get! :)

as for being lame...I was thrilled that I had leftover Thai in my fridge, there was new stuff on TV tonight and my landlord Andy stopped sanding whatever it is he's working on in the cellar before 9 (because I was ready to tear my hair out from the sound...love you, Andy, really!)

Alas, I don't have any ice cream. :(

Crap, I knew there was something else I wanted to look for when I was at the store, and that was the Burt's Bees stuff. I'll try to look for it next time around for sure.

Speaking of yogurt and my previous mention of Iceland, I found some Icelandic-style yogurt of all things at the grocery store today. A bit pricey (not as much as the goat's milk yogurt next to it) but I figure what the heck and bought some...

Moonie, I've had the Icelandic yogurt, it's good. It's thin and not as tart as some.
