Mornin' LL and Maureen and those who follow.

Am about to call my mom to find out about roads. That will make a big difference in our day. If they're decent = drive to the Cities, if not = stay home. I'm not sure which one I want right now. . .

I hope everyone has a lovely, lovely Saturday.

Good Morning!

We had a little snow this morning but it looks to have stopped. Yesterday was a fun but tiring day. Miss A had off from school so I had to take off. I spent the morning cleaning and taking things away from Boots that he shouldn't have (mainly DD's shoes!). My best friend and her two kids came up at lunchtime and we went to Lost River Caverns, which is about 5 miles from my house then for ice cream. Then I had to quickly make crepes (polachenka in hungarian) rolled w/ jam or cinnamon to take down to my parents for Good Friday dinner which is potato dumpling soup. I prefer my grandmothers recipe to what my father made but it was ok.

Today my plans are to run, go to Target to get Easter stuff for DD and like Moe, go to the market as Easter dinner is at my house tomorrow night. I can't wait for next weekend when we have absolutely nothing going on.

DH bought Sam Adams White Ale last night. It was tastey. Similar to Sierra Nevada but not as strong.

Time to update my NCAA brackets and see where my friends and I stand.

Ok load 1 of 4 clothes are in the washer. Let the weekend begin lol.
I might go see Drillbit Taylor today. Normally I love Owen Wilson's movies. I could use some comic relief today

Mary I wish you clear roads and a wonderful weekend.

hi everyone!

I'm down in Temple, TX and this is the 1st time I have checked anything online since Weds night. My sister's 4 kids did really well on the long 2 days of driving, but they were driving me a little nuts last night. I was tired and cranky and they were tired and wound up. LOL! Not the best combination, but they finally settled down and everyone got a good sleep. The 5 of us are in a suite across the hall from my sister and her DH, so they get their privacy as well.

Anyway, I don't have time right now to read the past few days worth of posts, so I hope all is well with everyone. I'm loving the warm weather down here, it's 75*. We got out ahead of the latest snowstorm to hit Ohio which we were very happy to do. I talked to Nick on the phone last night, and after 4+ hours of driving, he had only made it 2/3 of the way to Columbus to spend the weekend with his family (a trip that normally takes him 3.5 hrs total). Welcome to spring.

I hope to get in some running but it looks like it will be treadmill time. Tomorrow we are going to have a picnic with my BIL's brother and his family who live in Ft. Worth, so I may try to get a longer run there. I haven't run in a week. I normally run on Mon and Weds, but I had to stay late at work both nights to try to wrap things up before I left.

Have a great weekend! I may be able to check in later, but I don't want to tie up the hotel computer for very long.

Hi.

Kris - lucky dog for missing the snow. We got 6'' on top of ice. I'm so tired of this.

Have a couple errands to do, then a few tapes, then walk a beastie, ten unload my kiln, then make pizza (for me) to take to Defiance, where we're hooking up with some of Dh's high school friends. (They'll order their pizza.)

Still haven't heard anything from either of our families about Easter.

Is that bad to be happy about that? I have to get my portfolio together and do a bunch of other crap to prepare for this interview Tuesday, so I could really use the day to myself.

Hi all.

Tired and toothachy today. DS woke up at 5:30 this morning. On weekdays, I have to peel the kids out of bed. Weekends? Up at the crack of dawn.

But it did get me up and out to Spin class. In a little while, I'll take the kids to their gym class, then we have our neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt. Easter is just too early for me this year. It's not Easter Egg Hunt weather.

We went to Target and they had an area with beer. I was just about to grab something from St. Arnold's (a brewpub in Houston) when I looked down on another shelf and saw it.

hello all,

just gettin organized around the hosue.

goin out for supper with my bil and sil and their kids to a place sort of like Charles E Cheese, but with a Space Alien theme to it. They have beer there so I know I will like it.

Maureen I am so impressed with all of your theater stuff...I swear someday I am trying out for a play in our local theater...can't be a musical because I have no musical talent, but something dramatic and or comedic is on my bucket list for sure.

Kris I like Fat Tire a lot, but I di dnot feel thatw ay until about teh 3rd time I had one. I think my beer snobishness was still developing.

Heather I had a White Ale last nigth as well. I was not thrilled with it. personal preference thign for me, I am much more a Stout/Porter guy than an Ale guy I am learning. Speaking of that I also had some Sam Adam's Honey Porters last night and I absolutely preferred those over the White Ale.

Mary, I am guessin your roads are gonna be fine. snow seems to have stopped this way and it is plenty warm out for melting ice off the roads.

must now clean the leaving room with the kids, looks like we had an explosion of barbie dolls...
gernal hellos to everyone I have missed!

My Dad's birthday today too. I'm about to call him.

I walked in from my 16 mile run, smelling all nasty and shit, had to grab a quick shower and wolf down my lunch in order to get out the door on time. The inlaws live in a neighborhood that's adjacent to a giant strip shopping center. The kind with a Super Target, Barnes & Noble and all of that. So, we can walk there and there's a Rave Theaters there. So, we walked over to see Horton Hears a Who. That was a fun movie. Now this kids are fighting about who is cheating at checkers. I'm reffereeing (sp?). Whatever.

Sorry Duckie.

Congrats Flem!
