Morning Gang
It wasn't so much run of the choccie run for me this morning ( not that I didn't have too) but a 3 m recovery with the boss MrsRoy and woody running up the rear
Edinburgh: yes Sans you'll be with me all the way, I'll even have a bag of Tyrrell's at the finish, honest......
Good morning, I drove to my gym at 6:30am and the whole street was blocked off for police activity (bad car accident). So I came into work early instead, and will leave early and hit the gym on my way home.

Coughing a little, sneezing and feeling a touch sub-par like I'm fighting off Mr.Riley0003's flu.....but still hanging in there.....Mr.R is finally heading to the dr. today, after suffering from 102+ fever yesterday.

I, too, have the sniffles...I've had them since Saturday, though, and they haven't worsened into anything more, so I'm hoping they'll just disappear in a few days.

Recovery run this morning: 5.19 miles in 47:34 (9:09 pace). AGAIN, feeling great despite the weekend's exertions. Looking forward to some hill repeats tomorrow...

Stay healthy now, Susan (eta: you too Robin!). I hope Mr0003 feels better soon. (BTW why the zeros in your handle?)

It will take me a few minutes to drive there from work, so how about 12:15? MrF and your daughter's family are welcome to join us!

I tried to run this morning. Not ready yet.

Allright, you guys. Let's put our winter sniffles in the attic.
Spring is here, no time for sniffles.

I have some goals for the week.

Get all body parts healthy and happy.

Find Sedalia, Va before dark next Fri. and get hammock set up.

Sat., run the Terrapin Mt HM in 2:15. (well 2:45 wouldn't hurt my feelings)

get on the road by 1:30pm after Beth finishes the full.

Drive to Knoxville and crash that marathon party before dark.

Stagger and or limp to the Va Creeper marathon starting line @8:00 am Sunday. No time goal, just finish.

Crawl home (its only 4 miles)

Wake up next Monday

My last name is Riley and I have 3 kids (all grown and gone). In some of my groups long ago, the handle of Riley was taken as was Riley3, so I chose Riley0003. DH actually has his own last name but he's getting used to being called Mr. Riley.......hahahaha. I think he gets a kick out of it now. Thanks for your kind thoughts about his health. I'm very concerned about him.

Please post your virtual hugs and prayers for Jura and her DD3.

Jura's DD3 got a ruptured appendix last Friday and some complications have arisen that have Jura spending 24/7 with DD3 in the hospital. DD3 is young and strong and improving.

I hope Jura doesn't mind me posting this. Jura is a VRAA Team E teammate and she mentioned this on our Team's weekly VRAA thread and I wanted to get her Masters' friends on board with their thoughts and prayers. One can never get enough of these!

{{{{{Jura and DD3}}}}}

Bill

PS: No runs today. Rest Day for me.

I was trying to decide whether to repeat this week because of my breathing issues last week. But decided to go to the gym & just see what happened, before deciding this morning. So glad I did! A good breathing day - & day 1 of week 3 done! week 3 is 4/4 run/walk 4 times

Just did a pleasant 4 miles through the Germantown 'burbs.
Plus 1.2 miles walking.
All concrete and asphalt, but about half of it on a paved path around a lake with woods and small hills.
A couple miles almost MP.
Quiet pleasant and no shin splints as I typically get on hard surface.
I over shot and ended up cutting through the woods for a short cut back to DDs home.
Couldn't help myself

Good morning!

Roy---nice way to start the day!

Susan--hope DH and you are feeling better soon.

Mill & FF--have a wonderful lunch!

Peter--Happy 23 years!!!

JJJ---Whew! What a week!

Econo---almost done! Hurray!

{{{{Jura & DD3}}}

8 miles w 5x600m @5k pace for me today. Last week the 1000m nearly killed me. These, although not easy, seemed more managable for me. I did them out on the rail trail so it was nice to run on a straight path. The calorie burn was much needed after yesterday's food fest.

I had 24 for dinner. DH is one of 8 sibblings and when they all get together, the stories they tell are hilarious! After almost 24 years I still love hearing them. They are a fun group and it was a wonderful day!

Happy Monday all!

I went out for a run, but a mile into it I felt the calf feeling extremelly tight, I stopped to strech it...ran another half a mile and still was not better so I went back home to do some ssstretching. I figured I need an injury free body more than I needed the 4 miles I was set to do this morning. I will try again this afternoon after stretching some more during lunch.

Butterfly hugs to all who are RESTing today

MrC is also down with a cold, which he seems to get following every airplane ride. I'm keeping my distance from him because 1) he's cranky and 2) I don't want to get sick.

Mariposai, sounds like smart running to me.

Happy Anniversary to Mr and Mrs Peter!

Triple Jay, sounds like an interesting upcoming week. I like the part about the hammock.

5.25 miles with a friend. Will do core work later today.

Hup - how's the rehab coming along?

{{get well soon Jura's DD!}} {{worried momma jura}}

Get well wishes to all those under the weather and {{{healing hugs}}} to the injured folks!

Thanks for the short but sweet chat last night Souci and Sally!

Rest day for me (ahhh, what a nice butterfly hug!}, but will do some stretching and abs this evening. Considering we had such a wonderful brunch yesterday, I'm feeling good that I didn't overdo it and it was the only meal I ate yesterday. Had a small bowl of popcorn last night, but that was it. And today, I brought sensible food with me for my lunch and snacks - protein drink, hard boiled egg, apple, yogurt, a few slices of swiss cheese and am just drinking tea this a.m. - no calorie-laden latte today.
