I saw an opening and decided to just jump in. This is a day early, so maybe I'll repeat on Groundhog's day...

QUESTIONS

1. Why do you run?

I started running after I burst my Achilles tendon and had it re-attached. I gave up my beloved team sports (hoops, soccer, ultimate, etc.) Nine months after surgery my Garmin 201 arrived via UPS and I started running on 1/2/04.

2. What is your greatest accomplishment?

I worked my way through college, got a triple major and two degrees in 4.5 years and graduated with only $500 in debt. That was pretty challenging.

7. What is the greatest advice you have ever received?

"It's just as easy to fall in love with a rich girl as a poor girl." I didn't take it.

8. What do wish you had learned younger?

It's okay to be poor when you're young as long as you are investing in experience.

Thanks! Math, Statistics and Marketing. When I graduated I was very thin and very broke. My advisers were trying very hard to steer me towards Stats grad school at Ohio State or Iowa State but I was completely tired of being poor and hungry so I took one of the job offers on the table instead. I also strongly considered pursuing Arrojo's line of work (Actuary Science) since I had already taken most of the undergrad classes to pursue the first two tests. They were right though, that was the time of my life where I should have kept chugging along academically.

I asked my wife, but she said I wasn't allowed to smother you under my beans and sausage. Sorry. Too bad since I'll actually be in SoCal next week!
