I'm doing a poll. I'm curious, with the advent of smart phones and the explosion in the App market, have you found any apps that are particularly helpful or of value to running? What about biking? I'd assume they don't make swimming ones - based on the fact I found out my Iphone ISNT waterproof!

So...

Here's your poll:

Yes or No.

If you care to comment in the thread that's fine - but right now, just interested in whether anyone uses them. I'll answer the poll as well.

Thanks for you input!!

I'd like a KR app. Or some way to post to KR on my Blackberry. My usage has dropped like a brick because the site is too "heavy" and the posting doesn't work. Now that it works on Ipad, I do use it there somewhat, so that's cool.

I use Sparkpeople for weight/food tracking regularly.

I use TriCalc to figure out my paces. It can also be used to predict finish times.

I use TrainingPeaks.com because that's what my coach uses with all of her clients. I sometimes use the mobile version to check what my workouts are. I don't use it for data upload because I use both a ForeRunner and a PowerTap and I upload data via WKO+.

Would you consider trying the TAPATALK app to see if it makes your experience here better?

I'm looking at an app called "runtastic" from runtastic.com that is available for Blackberry phones, but haven't acted on it yet. I know someone at work using it who is very satisified with it. I don't normally run with my phone except when I'm in a group run and then I have it more or less for emergencies so I don't know how I would react having to carry the phone around with me on my runs.
