or your mother is?

sometimes when we talk, she complains about stupid things like how difficult it is to figure out how to use something that has online instructions and customer service, live chat. it's not the level of difficulty of doing those things... it's that she doesn't want to ask for assistance and when she does she's very crotchety, flustered, angry, impatient, etc.

i tried to reason with her about breaking things down into small tasks and breathing slowly, being at peace/rest before the call or chat session, whatever.

i heard this lady in i'd say her 60's (probably my mom's age but not as fit as my mom) at the gym the other day (PT) yelling at the PT and being downright rude/hateful. he just took it... he's the owner this one outfit... and i guess she pays well. or maybe he just feels sorry for her and ignores her sheet. i don't know. but i felt embarrassed for her. i tried to make eye contact with her so i could give her a kind look but she never really looked up or out. all woe as me, it's all about meeeeeeeee.

i can think of more than a few times i've lost self control and patience with others. but, i've gotten a lot better at it with age. i'm definitely more thoughtful about it.

anyway, i was wondering if you notice this about yourself? and if so, can you control yourself and problem solve or adapt effectively?

p.s. i know mom doesn't read the board but i feel compelled to say. I LOVE YOU, MOM!
