I'm really getting back into the groove of working out in the early AM.

But I'm so used to stressing about cramming a workout in either at lunch or in the evening. So today, every time I feel that "I don't wanna workout tonight" stress I remember I already did it this morning and a great weight is lifted from my shoulders!

quite often

I have often said to my friend Lizzie, I can't believe you are whipping my butt. Till she reminds me I started out 12 hours ago. By 9 o'clock at night I have almost always forgotten what I did at 9 a.m.

Never. I am exremely routine driven and know in my head well enough the exact training workouts I want to get in. I think it helps being acutely focused but also sticking to routine. Maybe your problem is directly related to your recent changing of routine, or perhaps it's a nervousness from thinking you might miss a workout, or maybe it's even a competitive vibe where you don't feel comfortable with your mate doing more than you, or maybe a combination. Just seems odd to me that you'd forget that you already put in a workout.

Yeah, I do -- I don't go by a plan, I go by whatever I feel like doing, and I sometimes forget especially if I had decided to do more than one workout one day and I know I have one still coming-- I'll forget that I had already done something.

Then again, I forget a lot of things. I live by habit not memory

Well I never actually forget and do another workout!

But it catches me by surprise that I've already done it when I'm worrying about getting it in. It's probably part the routine thing, and part nervousness about not working out enough.

It was a kind of serious thread... kind of for fun...

I don't forget about working out.
But, like TriBob, I forget about eating.
Tonight around 8pm, we had friends over and the wives sent us for pizza... and I realized I forgot to eat lunch. I think it's the second time in the past week.

That's true!!

It's more of a surprise to me that I've actually already done it. I'm such a procrastinator!
