not eat normally on dates?

2 of the guys I have gone out with have commented because I cleaned my plate (one time I think I ordered an enchilada and the other time i order a chicken breast sandwich with salad instead of fries...nothing crazy large). Is this really not normal? I only order the amount of food I want to eat and I eat it all, is that really comment inducing? Maybe I am just a huge eater and dont realize it...

I was friggin hungry...I ran 10 miles during lunchtime and then didnt want to snack too much since I was going out later. Apparently this appears odd to men that a woman could actually be hungry...

I don't eat around anyone at any time for any reason. I have this odd fear that someone will ask me if my tongue is pierced.

Don't ask.

The last "first" date I went on (back in Sept) I ate very little. I was nervous, yes. But, it was mostly because he and I were talking so much that we forgot to be hungry. He even said later that he had never eaten so little on a date before.

I think it means your comfortable. And I never met a man who didn't appreciate a woman with an appetite. Don't let old demons make you question.

Back in my dating days, I would eat normally. And the guy would usually comment on it. ("I like that you are not just ordering a salad" or "wow - you can really eat!"

However, if it was someone who really had my 'motor running' I may not eat as much, just due to butterflies in stomach.

Well the first guy I just kind of blew the comment off since he was commenting that I finished my enchilada before he finished his plate with 3x times the amount of food. But then he made a comment about it to my friends when i had invited him to have beers with us. Now another guy comments on the same thing. Its getting to be a bit weird...

Did he have a lot on his plage still by the time you finished?

Maybe next time you can try to time it a little bit better so you can be done at the same time. He might have been uncomfortable with you just sitting there watching him eat while he had a ways to go.

Or maybe he was bummed because he wanted your leftovers.
