Who's in for Disney in January?

If you are considering it, note that Goofy has been sold out forever, the half is now sold out, and the full is at 95%. If you want to run the full and haven't registered... get moving!

Goofy = half + full

Dopey = half + full + friday's 5k

The Dopey is an unofficial thing. That 5k is shockingly poorly organized, IMO.

Slow day for you? Trying to find out who is going to all your marathons?

I believe I'll be pacing at Disney next Jan - not sure, but I did it in 2006 and had to skip 2007, so I might be doing it. Next time I will know - get my buttocks to the front of the pack if I'm pacing 3:10! In 2006 I got caught behind tons of people and the course narrowed quickly - what a PITA that was!

The Dopey - I like that. Clif Bar doesn't want us doing the Goofy Challenge - the closest I got was doing the 10k the day before the Flying Pig this year.

I was unimpressed with the disney marathon, in general I did love the characters and my pictures are great because of them. But, I am not sure I will ever do it again unless a friend begs me or something.

Well, as these things go, I think they do a pretty good job... but I'm not as fanatical about the experience as some folks. It's one expensive weekend for sure, they upped the goofy price, and they don't really do much for the goofy folks.

However, I signed up and I'm pretty excited. It may be my last year for awhile .

I will be doing the Goofy. This will mark my 5th year of competitive running. My first marathon was at Disney and I thought this would be a great way to celebrate! Plus, my husband will be doing his 1st marathon! It is very expensive that's another reason why I haven't returned until now. Srlopez, you seem to be following me. I was at Tacoma and Bayshore. I will be going to Chicago in October will you be there?

I follow everybody .

Nope, not doing Chicago. I don't really like the mega-big races, so I only do a couple of them each year.

Welcome to Goofy and welcome back to your very first marathon. The same day you will be running Chicago, I'll be re-running the one that was my very first post-sickness marathon: Portland, OR. The first is always a special course.

I am doing the full. I have done it before and found it less than perfect but it has it upside. The weather is usually good, it is in Jan (giving me an excuse to get out of MN and a lot of time to train), it is flat, and I won't be at the back of the pack.
