Hmmm.....not sure yet. It has been so cold I haven't been to the store in a few days, trying to stay in as much as I can. We are running low on fruits, veggies, milk etc so I guess I will have to brave it today.

Maybe some tilapia if it looks good....maybe I will make it into fish tacos. Never had those before but with everyone talking about them lately, perhaps I will give them a try.

There's a turkey-mince chilli in the slow cooker at our house!! it's always better when it's been cooked for several hours like that.

as it's a food thread: what do you guys (America) think of gordon ramsay and his kitchen nightmares show???

here - they are just showing the series that's set in the states. It's funny to see him tone down his normal style. he's usually much more brutal with the brits, but last week (first in series in america) he was saying things like "holy mackrel!". I was PMSL...here it would be "****ing ****" !!

Mostly entertaining but some of the restaurant owners/chefs make you want to throw them back on the "stupid" bus. I can only take so much reality TV idiocy in an hour.

I LOVE kitchen nightmares......but the British version on BBC is MUCH better than the American version on FOX.......I love Gordon

Gordon and Mario are my favorite "celebrity" chefs

Define "yucky". My DS loves salmon both raw and cooked so I don't have that problem. Meat is another story.

I usually just brush with olive oil, salt, pepper....sear for 2 minutes over medium high heat, turn and finish in a 425 degree oven for 5 minutes. I've seasoned it with melted butter, s&p, a bit of dried mustard and broiled it while brushing on a glaze made of honey & balsamic vinegar (2:1 ratio). Bottled teriyaki marinade?
