You know Eric, if you really want to try something new, you could always offer to make dinner. There are lots of websites with great step by step recipes. All it takes is the willingness to try something new. As long as you realize that if you step outside the box not all recipes will be winners in your house and you may have the occasional dud of a dinner.

An old standard here I think, spaghetti with meatballs and salad.

Happy to help!

Yoshiko - super easy in the crockpot: chicken breasts (halved), potatoes (halved or quartered depending on size), a bag or frozen peas and carrots, and an onion (chopped, but not diced)...then I pour in about a cup of water and a jar of whatever Indian sauce you can find at the local grocer. I like Patak's, which you can find at Whole Foods.

Maybe someday I'll actually pull out my Indian cookbook and make my sauce from scratch...eventually.

Eric- the recipe we had last night was super easy.

1/4 olive oil, 1 tablespoon paprika, 1 tsp cumin, a couple of cloves of minced garlic all mixed together in bowl

spread 3/4 of that mix over 4 chicken breasts that you have in a shallow baking dish (take the leftovers and mix with greek or plain yogurt for a sauce)

put a can of drained garbanzo beans over that

put a 12 oz container of cherry or grape tomatoes over that

Salt and Pepper

Cook in a 450 degree oven for 20 minutes

Boil couscous :)

The guys asked that next time I serve Naan with it!
