<p>I was looking in Triathlete Magazine and they show a different head unit for the powertap than what I have. Mine is the little yellow one with 3 display element. theirs is much bigger and shows 8.</p>

<p>I want 8. 8 is better than 3. <span><img alt="biggrin.gif" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/biggrin.gif" style="width:16px;height:16px;"></span></p>

<p>A google search led me to Garmin and some other units...</p>

<p>anyone have any experience/thoughts here?</p>

<p>the garmin unit is nice and gives you all the GPS junk, but there is a significant added cost.  I have a friend who uses the Quark unit with the Garmin, it's a so-so solution, it seems to work poorly (the quark) below 40 degrees, which is a lot of our year</p>

<p>I have a quarq and a garmin 500.  I was out the other day in 25 weather, seemed ok.  The 500 hundred is small, but big display, I think you can get 8 things on there, at least 6.  I don't need that much.</p>
