Labral tear, full thickness. Tendinopathy on one of the rotator cuff tendons. Mild osteoarthritis. Tendonitis.

Referred to a surgeon. PT said "So those low moans were because you were really in pain." Ass. He's actually a great guy, drafted in 1996 by the LA Kings but never played pro due to heart valve surgery (similar to what I will have to have).

My MD is on vacation, and I am away until next Wednesday, so we're scheduled for Thursday.

Well it's partly my own damned fault for not being more proactive. I could have had the MRI sooner had I followed up on my hunch that the clinic staff were short a few cotton swabs in the bin. MD had said that it was an MRI first and an ultrasound as a second choice, but they only heard the ultrasound part and I trusted them because they seemed so competent before. The MD blew up when she heard, and it's one of the reasons she's moved her practice.

The PT had been saying for some time that it seemed that whatever he was doing seemed to be working at cross purposes - that it seemed like there was more than one thing wrong, and he was right.

All that from one little slip that you would hardly remark on.

Oh, and I ran out of Curcumin and thought I could wait until the next grocery day. Wrong. That stuff does work, but it is subtle. Takes a whole lot of the edge off. You need to keep up a regular regimen of it. Who would have thought that turmeric would be so useful.

Yup. Smiling at the prospect of surgery is a bit strange though.
