I'm in. Craig, I'm guessing you're in, too, eh?

Look for me at the start, and if you don't see me, look for me on the course. I'm going to attempt something really cool but foolish so that I may be getting to registration and the start on the very late side. But I'll look for you. I'll likely be wearing my favorite black with white stripes Boston '05 adidas Marathon jacket and black running pants -- in other words, I'll probably look like everybody else.

I will no doubt miss both LRR and Jules. It was Derry last year where I met Jules for the first time. That was before she was a rockstar half-Iron chick!

Oh, and weather looks to be shaping up very similiar to last year's weather, which as you know was cold but certainly among the better days for this race.

Now I'm dying of curiosity. BrewDad thinks you'll be riding your bike to & from the race.

Nope. But I don't ride outside in the winter. Winter is for strength training on the Trainer, or so says the coach in my head.

Truth is, I'm getting nervous about Derry. Derry, as you may have heard, is among the toughest road races around for its hills. Anyone who's done it will vouch for that. Derry fits nicely on the map as a 16 mile training run for those doing Boston a few months later. But Derry is so tough that most people do not race Derry, for it is too hilly and will beat you up too badly. Me, I'm getting very nervous about it, which is odd since the last race I got this nervous about was, umm... Ironman Coeur d'Alene. And I'm getting nervous and I will not be racing. In fact, I will probably do Derry at 9 or 10 minute miles. The thing is, I've hooked up with a few other hooligans who plan to run the course before the race even starts, then join the race for the start and do it again. I get nervous thinking about it, so I'll stop and just do it.

Thor you are totally whacked and a fookin' nut but we all know that!

I'm sad I can't do it this year, but am just happy I am running again. I will be thinking of you as I do my 11 miler on Sat (longest yet since SF)......am feeling better every day. Hopefully I can do it next year.

Have you decided on the Hamptons HM? I am signed up and looking forward to it. I am not going to race, just have fun running 13.1 with a bunch of other nuts

Look for me, because if I complete the first lap in good standing, I imagine we can trot along together.
