Arrgh. 12-15 inches here. Although, it is pretty.
3 miles on the 'mill in 33.
I think I'll have to get some more glucosamine/chondroitin. Everytime I run out I think, "It's not really doing anything, I'll save myself some money."
Then gradually the knees and hips start to bother me.

Good runs all.

edited to add: It looks like active lost my running log. grrrr

Well, so far I'm not too enamored of the way Active has handled (or mishandled) the Coolrunning migration. To say it is "different" would be too kind. I'm afraid they may have caused many people to migrate elsewhere - like here. I have my running log being switched over today. If that gets toasted, I'll be very unhappy and ready to exit.

Anyway, a perfect running morning here, 55 degrees and 70% humidity, with perhaps too much of a NW wind. 10.15 easy miles at 8:40 min/mile pace. Normally Mondays' are my off days. But with the nice weather expected in the early part of the week and travel coming up this weekend, I wanted to get some miles behind me.

I'm envious of all the snow up north, until I think about it for a bit.
Coldest day since Feb here. 27F and had to bundle for a nice 3 Magical Healing Miles for Tory.

We had DD1 and DD2 and their BF's over for a Christmas kinda Honey Baked Ham dinner and then watched Chevy Chase's Christmas Vacation. Eat for an hour and laugh for 2 hours. Now I need to diet . I could feel the extra weight on the run. Like running carrying a gallon jug.

Have great runs/X-train or rests!

Steve

ETA: Breeger... My runs imported ok but they left out the route info.(??) So it has the runs but not where you ran. At least I can't find it. Very poor layout anyways.
ETA2: I found the "Route" info.. it's in the comment field.

Did I say I like it here?

Stay safe you who are snow bound. Hope all the ladies are fully dressed for their runs today. Wouldn't want them to cause any accidents.

I can't even get into the CR site. I keep being told I can't be authenticated...which I'm starting to take personally. So it looks like I may be applying for refugee status here. (Please don't deport me!)

Easy 5.2 this morning at about 30F with a stiff wind. I doubled up for the first time this year with a wicking shirt underneath a cotton T-shirt and I was just right.

I'm vowing that before New Year's I will come up with a plan for the Winter/Spring. No marathon, though; I won't have the time. But I do need some structure and a goal race to keep me motivated. Otherwise, I'm just dragging around doing minimal easy miles.

Made it to the rec center at the university today, but it was too snowy for running outside. Three miles on a combo of the track and treadmill.

I was definitely glad that I decided to finally get a set of real snow tires for my car this year, though!

Ah, WRFB - but cross-training is worth major slagging points round these parts - Millbot tallies it up every week and then we have a Battle of the Sexes round of aerobic tomato-throwing. So - enough with the "just some cross training" already.

...and it's nice to see you here.

I'm planning a lunchtime shuffle and a swim after work.

OK so my mail just arrived on my desk at work and there was a package from Eugene, Oregon. The package contained Oregon Duck socks from my favorite Oregon Duck!
I thought that Econo was only kidding when she said she was going to make me an honorary Oregonian for knowing who Tom McCall was.
Thanks Econo! I will wear them proudly!

10 easy miles with 8x100m strides.

Running is my best "alone" time. Today I cried for my grandfather. Getting ready for the funeral now. Thank you all again for your friendship and sympathies.

I'm not running today, so nothing to report there. I finally am at work, after being home with sick kids almost all week last week. (Now I'm getting the crud, dangit!)

I wonder how Johnny is doing (and his FIL). I hope he checks in soon to let us know.

Good day, all.

{{{Millbot}}} It will be better when the funeral is over.

I went to the gym this morning and gingerly ran on the treadmill, concerned about my knee. It was stiff but not painful. I did a walk/run combination for a total of 3 miles, then lots and lots of stretching. Maybe because of my anxiety about the knee, my heartrate was very high (168!) after only 10 mins of running! Who knows. At any rate, knee feels tight but OK so I'm feeling more relieved. Tomorrow is a killer yoga class, and first I'll do some rowing or elliptical, depending on which equip is available.

Have a great day all, and watch out for that black ice.

Haven't read the thread yet, but before I forget, wanted to brag on my buddy. In case you haven't heard, mustang-boomer just qualified to be a Marathon Maniac.

Marj and I did a 'long' 3.5 miles on partially icy roads this morning. At least the sun was out and the wind was manageable. I have less than 19 miles to hit 1300 this year. Hope to make it if there's some thawing.
Also disappointed with CR-will wait and see.
