Thanks for starting the Dec. thread Fred.

10.5 moh this morning with 5 X 1 mile intervals with 2 min recoveries. 32 degrees and no wind. Perfect weather for a good run.

Morning all. Another beautiful day today. 42 degrees and no wind. The sky was so clear this morning that it looked as if someone had freshly painted the moon.

5.75 mild progression run this morning. Started at 8:20 mile and finished 7:01. Will run another 5.75 tonight.

Fri 10 miles of hills

Sat. 45 min warmup @ 7:45 pace; 6 miles at 6:42 avg. and cool down 1 mile or so. 12.75 oa miles at 7:15 avg pace.

60 degrees and a slight breeze this morning. Winds picking up now as cold front is approaching tonight or tomorrow.

Sounds cold but fun Simon.

Right knee hurting this morning so just a 2 mile run/walk. Only thing I can think of is Saturday for about 1/2 mile had to run on a severely angled sidewalk. My 1/2 marathon next Saturday is in jeopardy.

nice racing Paavo

Laura if you're contagious 3 hours away from me; just imagine what you're doing to the local runners!! Be careful about over stretching your injury. I think I'll not try to run again till Thurs night and see how it feels. If it's better I'll run the half and probably coast thru the rest of the year.

Fred - I would not call it an injury but just being cautious. Knee feels better today but won't run on it again till Thursday night. The sidewalk I ran on (fast for me) for about half a mile Saturday had a real severe decline and it's the opposite angle that I normally run on. I think every time I had a foot strike my right foot turned ever so slightly on that angle to keep me from falling off. Plus the foot strike was different from side to side like running around a mtn in a circle. I think it is just a bit strained/tweaked.

Laura - what's the news from the doc on your knee?

I will attempt a run tonight to test mine. Picked up some sinus issues and a sore throat last night just in time for my Saturday 1/2. :)

Laura - I understood your mri to be yesterday. Me bad. Hang in there.

My test run tonight was successful for 5.75 miles. If it's ok in the morning; then the race is on. I was cautious with road conditions and relatively conservative on pace.

60 degrees and a slight breeze and whole lot of dark.
