Notables for the Month include Opie breaking into the monthly century club for the first time since July, and doing it with his fastest ever average monthly pace; Fortunate One's 4th highest mileage total in the past 3 years; CassadAAmius ran two Master's PR's in December with an 18:05 5k and a 30:12 5-miler; Plugging Along's best December ever; and bap has a string of 9 straight months over 100 miles.

December's Arithmatic Meanie was Rainey, earning the title by throwing a dart at the bull's eye of 130.2 miles, blindfolded, behind the back, and through the knees. Next closest to the mean for all miles reported was evanflein at 125.9 miles. But I'm thinking that if you call Alaska home, your December miles are not equal to everyone else's December miles. Gives a whole new meaning to "Degree of Difficulty".

Our Right in the Middle of the Road Runner (meep meep) is Heme, at 120.75 miles.

2500 Miles: gobi earns the Winston Churchill Award for having a larger than life, Round, British figure at 2,500 miles even. Give that man a cigar. mcsolar99 wins the Maxwell Smart Award - close, but no cigar at 2,495.5 miles - missed by THAT much.

2,000+ Miles: The R2K Award is shared by the following.

Now THAT is impressive!! I love all the geeky numbery stats, but the added BTY touch with commentaries, awards, etc. was just fabulous! Thank you so much!

10 out of the 31 people reporting indicated they had all-time mileage records. Take a look at how many of those 10 runners also indicated that they set PR's in multiple races as well. I thought that as we aged we were supposed to get slower and have knees blowing out from overuse and on and on. Way to go everyone!
