Dearest Son,

<p>You know that it's only been a few hours since we saw you off at the security desk of Calgary International, with a Timmy's Iced Latte in one hand and one of your mom's sandwiches in the other.  4:30 rolled around all to quick, and I realize that you pulled an all-nighter packing and reading and playing games on the internet.</p>

<p>We miss you, you know that.  It was a great holiday time together, and I enjoyed every minute.  I'm looking forward to spring and having you back.  More than you could know actually.  You see, you packed my rasor in your bag.  Now - I'm a hairy guy, and I do have a beard, but I need to shave to keep things under control.  You, on the other hand...  well people expect long-haired hippy freak university students to be long-haired hippy freaks.</p>
