So there's a dead squirrel caught in the netting protecting our strawbs. I did my manly duty, but it doesn't mean I have to like it.

Then I heard that the strange man who was standing in our cul-de-sac last night waving a plastic bag tied to a fishing rod was actually the brother of a neighbour and he was training his pet pigeons. Well, trying to at any rate, training the ones that survived the pair of nesting hawks that live across the road from their house. I feel bad for him, but I wonder that his sister never told him.

Then there's the partridges who nest in the ravine near us. 8 weeks ago there were 14. Now there are 4. Such is life.
