<p>Wanted to ... wait ... <em>NEEDED</em> to ... go longer than usual this morning.. <a href="http://www.broadstreetrun.com/" target="_blank">Broad Street</a> is next Sunday, and I wasn't feeling too confident with my 4s and 5s ... I wanted to get "past South Street" in my mind [althought I doubt you'd find any Llamas in South Philly]</p>

<p>Rain toggled between Misty and Drizzle the whole way around with a nice Shower at about Mile Four. I expected some fueling issues due to yesterday's Good Friday fast, but other than a couple tummy gurgles ["Feed Me!"] ... no worries.</p>

<p>my race is next week too.   12 miles today with 8,9,10 sub pace.  1 pt alternative  49 pts team 5 guys</p>

<p>2,800 yard swim (my longest ever!) = 28 points</p>
<p>4 mile run = 16 points</p>
<p>.75 mile walk = 3 points</p>
<p>10 minutes of stretching = 2 points</p>
<p>TOTAL = 49 points for Chick Fil A</p>

<p>8 miles today.  It was supposed to be 20, but I can't get the cramping in my left foot under control.  Supposed to run a marathon in 4 weeks, and it's looking like that's a no-go.  (I've been dealing with this foot issue for months now) Too bad crying isn't an alt workout, because I've been doing that for the past hour.  </p>

<p>8 miles = 32 points</p>
<p>30 min stretching = 6 points</p>
<p>total 38 points for team 1</p>

<p>{{{nadra}}} Hang in there, 4 weeks is a veeeeeery long time. Things will work out.</p>

<p><strong>nadra</strong>, have you gotten a foot massage?  I have terrible issues with my feet cramping all. the. time. And I found that after a foot massage the cramps stay at bay for a while.  Compression socks have also helped.</p>

<br><br><p>I've been getting ART.  It is helping, but not enough to keep me in marathon shape.  I'll look into compression socks as well, thanks.</p>
