My first sprint Tri:
Run 5K-23.27 61/1303
Bike 11 miles 35.11 203/1303
Swim .5 mile 14.40 1051/1303 (yes-I am that bad)
Overall 1.19 210/1303

OMG-Swimming in the OW is so hard! That being said the tri was a blast. I met some really great people-including another Kickrunner-Beaker! My family was not able to come watch and it was so nice to have someone there cheering for me. Thanks!
Danskin is a non-competitive sprint tri held all over the nation (for women only) to support breast cancer awareness and funding for breast cancer research. It is a great experience for 1st timers.
The most amazing thing about the day was watching the wave that consisted of breast cancer survivors. These women are amazing. Everytime I saw someone with a survivor's shirt I could feel the tears coming and a lump in my throat. Having a mother currently fighting this disease made this day very important to me. I hightly reccomend it to anyone looking to support the cause or just for a first time tri experience.
Now I want to run 26.2 with Donna, 1st Breast Cancer Marathon, in Jacksonville in Feb. Who's in?
