Hah!

Yesterday I somehow avoided bringing any such dangerous goodies home from the grocery store. I think it's easier for single folks like me to control what comes into the home!

I looked long and hard at those cheap Palmer chocolate Easter bunnies yesterday. And those Cadbury Creme Eggs....

Oh and I bought a crap load of funky candy and snacks at an Asian supermarket yesterday: lychee gummy candies, strawberry Pocky Sticks, and licorice allsorts (I think the store owners were originally from countries heavily influenced by the Dutch as there were also various waffle-type cookies for sale) and shrimp chips.

I sampled a few and tossed the rest in the dumpster before I went into my apartment.

those Pocky sticks are dangerous, because they are so crunchy and tasty. Although I've only had the chocolate ones.

I've been so busy I haven't made supper at home but once a week in 2-3 weeks. All the take out is killing me. At least it's not generally chain fast food, but still. I'm not running and I'm eating late at night after rehearsal and I'm just getting lumpy and fatter all the time.

I love me a Creme egg too...but they are a commitment. Because they are big...I can resist eating them (I have one in the house now...it's been here a week).

I never acquired a taste for the cream eggs. You can send them all to me for safekeeping.

Now pesto, on the other hand, is a menace.

I love the creme eggs. The problem is, they are avail year round now. I had to have one every day during the 2nd trimester of my pregnancy (sometimes 2). The manager of Walgreens knew me and when they ran out of Christmas eggs, he went in the back and brought me some Valentine's Day eggs.

Jacqui, that's so cute!

My DH LOVES Lindt chocolate. In fact, I found a Lindt store in DC the other day and he has some waiting for him (he likes the bars with pistachio). About a year before our wedding I worked in an office near a Lindt store and went in constantly to buy him his pistachio bars.

Fast forward to wedding planning: I called one day to inquire about wedding favors and the woman who answered the phone asked, "Aren't you the lady who buys the pistachio chocolate all the time?" I was in there so often she recognized my voice!

Overall the kitchen is my weakness. Chocolate, chips, meat potatoes. I love food.

I don't like the creme eggs but those mini eggs are SO good!!

I buy one bag for the season and no more. I already have had mine for this year - and Easter hasn't hit! I found I couldn't stop eating them at one serving this year so I left them in plain sight of DH and they were gone the next day. I should have thrown them in the trash instead but I hadn't the strength to do so.

No current dangers in my kitchen.
I had a few girlscout cookies and then banished the flavors I like from the house. DH has a few boxes of stuff I have no interest in.
I think the container of banana chips I emptied the last of this morning probably counted, though
