Good Morning,

Trying to get motivated to get my first run of the year in this morning. I shall head out for a slow 3 mile run and see how my heel is feeling. I took another 2 weeks off but I dont think it has helped much. Damn.

That Bronco vs Steeler game was great. Mrs. Boiler and Boiler jr were jumping up and down and cheering like crazy as the Bronco's scored that touchdown in OT.

Have a good day!

hope the heel holds up, eric....what's next as far as options? another trip to the foot-magician? orthotics? new shoes?

Yes, the Bronco/Steeler game was fun to watch. I am not a fan of either team; so being a neutral cheerleader was 'relaxing' compared to when I watch the Badgers or Packers.

I have a bit of a raspy voice this morning, i feel like i have been fighting something for over a week and keeping it at bay, but i know i will eventually lose the battle! LOL. Going to take Zoe to the natural history and science museum. I bought a groupon ages ago and it expires today.

Good morning. Woke up a bit grumpy this morning. I need to shake it off. We'll be busy all day. Y, then board meeting, then take Miss S to the orthodontist, then kung fu, if we have time. Miss Sunshine has a teeny tiny little mouth, and there is not enogh space for her secondary teeth to grow in. So we have to see the orthodontist. Ugh.

Morning.

Well, not much sleep. Still, I had a good run in to work today, the short route, 6.66 miles (what a beast). The pack was a tad heavy, but the ground was dry and there was no ice to speak of. 9:30 pace including walking breaks and lights.

Snowstorm on the way. The last month of great weather was bound to break some time.

Have good ones all.

Jebba.. you haven't really lived till you have to crank your kids palate expander every night.. I had to have glasses AND a magnifying glass to find the spot fo the little wrench thing ! It did work though and she no longer has a cross bite - so I hope they can help your daughter!

TORQUE!= Hey back at you !

It may be only 3pm but Monday can be over officially for me. It wasn't that bad at work but I think I need a degree in psychology and a LOT more pay if I am going to continue doing what I do! Holy cow... it's either that or transfer to a job in labor relation negotiating or bringing the Mid East together....Negotiate, deal and threaten wit loss of privileges... oh and "motivate" ...all day everyday.

Good workout today... one of my favorites!

Here it is:

"Christina"

Join us as we join Crossfit Northwest Tucson in their memorial workout today. The post today is taken directly from Crossfit Northwest Tucson's web page....

Today we honor those killed and wounded in last Saturday's assassination attempt on Rep. Gabrielle Giffords. 20 people in all were shot, 6 have died and the youngest was nine years old. We name this Memorial WOD after Christina Green, the youngest of those killed. Although we name this WOD after Christina, we in no way will only be thinking about her. The names of the five others slain are: Gabe Zimmerman, 30, U.S. District Judge John Roll, 63, Dorwin Stoddard, 76, Dorothy Morris, 76, Phyillis Schneck, 79. We thank everyone who will do this WOD with us today. Please bring in a donation for the victims' families when you show up at the gym.

WOD

"Christina"

As many rounds as possible in 20 minutes of:

9 Pull-ups
9 Squat cleans, 135/95 pounds
9 Kettlebell swings, 2/1.5 pood
9 Toes to bars
9 Push press, 135/95 pounds
9 Burpees

Record rounds and reps completed.

2 Rounds + 36 reps for me.
Scaled the barbell to 55# ( I can squat clean the 95# but with a quasi bum shoulder, I didn't want to press my luck push pressing that weight and only wanted to use one bar)
Kettelbell was 35#
pullups were on the 1" thick band (supports about 15% of bodyweight)
Toes to bar were Rx.

Did this workout on Jan 12, 2011 . Results for that one were:
2 rounds + 14 reps a year ago.
barbell was 45#
Kettelbell was 26#
black 4# band on the pullups (supports about 75% of bodyweight)
and scaled toes to bar as knees to waist.

Improvement is Grand!
