Ok...
I mostly like it because I get to feel like I"m going fast.
SOmetimes, I actually DO go fast, too. (I hit 25-ish going downhill this morning!)

There was an event today that I used for my ride....I figured I'd do the event, make use of the police protection at the intersections. I didn't figure I'd do anything except ride at a comfortable pace.... maybe try to remember to spin a bit more up hills.....and remember to drink.

Yay.
I did the 22 mile distance (others were 3.5 and 11 miles).

I got 2nd! whoooo hooo.....Is it bad to say I wasn't trying to race? Others were....I saw them drafting and pace lining and all that....but, I just wanted to feel like I got a decent workout without being totally dead.

One of the nice guys who does the organized Sat am runs took pictures.

Pictures from the event can be found at:
http://share.shutterfly.com/action/w...r&linkid=link4

I'm the one wearing the orange whistle on the front of her jacket.

This was the first year that this event was held...the field appeared to be sorta small, but it was a fun thing to do. WEather was AWESOME!!!! Cold to cool waiting for everything to get going, but once the sun came all the way up, it was gorgeous. It was paired with a 10K/1mile run as well.
