I ate some Morningstar Spicy Chik'n filets for breakfast.

They smelled like gasoline.

This doesn't bode well for the rest of my day.

How was your breakfast? What are some of your worst breakfasts? Is there hope for the rest of my day?

Weird, I was craving those yesterday for lunch and ended up with something else. Were they old?-don't think I remember mine smelling like gasoline-yikes.

Worst breakfast would have to be when we were in Indianapolis once. MAN, do they like butter there. It was really odd to have everything pre-slathered in butter before it was served. Toast, eggs, biscuits, pancakes..I'm trying to remember what else. I don't remember being anywhere else in the country where they do that in a restaurant. Don't get me wrong-I like a pat of butter when necessary-but I don't like my food floating in it.

I'm having homemade pumpkin scones for breakfast. I'm a total traditionalist, I LOVE breakfast foods and wouldn't think of having anything non breakfasty for breakfast. If I could get away with eating it all three meals, I would. Pancakes for dinner ROCK.

Sorry your chicken was yucky, Bux. I haven't had those, but I do like their veggie bites appetizer thingies.

I'm trying to think of some of the grossest......one of those clean out all the leftovers because I'm starving and just throw everything into a pan and heat type things.

I remember one morning of mashed potatoes mixed with leftover green beans and corn and meatloaf all smushed up in a bowl, smothered with gravy. It looked like dog food but it was tasty. Of course, anything's tasty after a hangover.

I definitely wasn't "presentation" focused back then.

I had an organic "pop tart" and a slice of cheese. I love breakfast, too!
Yesterday for lunch we went to a Salvadorian restaurant, and I had their "tipico plato" of over easy eggs, black beans, avocado and tortilla. That's a perfect breakfast, in my book.

favorite: strawberry crepe
least favorite.... we were in Cinci for a concert and we went to a buffet for breakfast and I'm sitting there telling my friend that they have Malt-0-Meal on the buffet!! Thank god you can't really screw that up can you? Well the guy next to me says "ya'll musn'nt not be from these parts... them there's grits."

So I asked him if he would like the lovely bowl of grits that I just scooped up for him and he said that he would eat them if I at least tried them. I tried them and still didn't like them.

I KNEW I liked you ! Ditto!

I had a normal breakfast -2 slices whole wheat raisin toast with natural PB. I LOVE PB so if I indulge in some right off in the morning -just a bit on the toast, I feel like I have fulfilled my craving for it.
Had black coffee as well.

Gasoline? Oh, dear.

I had hot grainy cereal with Saskatoon berries and a good dollop of brown sugar; grapefruit juice, usual latte.

The worst breakfast? It's got to be the Full English. (Okay, steel yourselves for this if you're not familiar with it.)

I do like the egg, mushroom, tomato, and beans part of it. It's the other stuff that's vile, like sausage, black and/or white pudding (gag), which would end up, along with the sausage and fat-soaked bread, on a plate on the other side of the restaurant.

That's a very long time ago now, but I can't seem to trebuchet it out of my mind.

I love a beany breakfast too.

Yeah, that black and white pudding was pretty scary. I got exposed to that over in Ireland and was like I'll just have eggs, thanks....

Mmmm, PB for breakfast is a great way to get a little protein so the carbs don't make my blood sugar all bouncy! I love PB too.

I had two pieces of wholewheat toast with butter and blueberry jam (which I made). And a big ole mug o' coffee. Second breakfast was a chopped up pear (either comice or bartlett) with Liberté Six Grains Pear yogurt and wheatgerm.

Worst breakfast for me was a frittata. I detest those things. Mostly because I'm not a big fan of wet eggs or omelettes, and frittatas seem like both together. Give me greasy spoon food any morning.
