Sort of like Clapton's "Cocaine". It isn't the most comfortable injection you can experience, but I've got all fingers and toes crossed. Two more injections in the next 2 weeks. Then we'll see.

Nothing like chronic pain to make you realize what you had when it wasn't around. Things like, oh, sleep. My physiotherapist is hoping that we can lick this thing by Christmas, but I'd settle for New Years so I can go dancing, running, play my bodhran, shovel the walk, wash the car, cross country ski, carry the groceries in more than one bag at a time. That sort of thing.

I was one who really shied away from even the thought of cortisone. I'm at the stage where I'd take injections of just about anything if it would stop the freaking pain.

I hope they work for you!! They worked for Mr Aire---but be prepared just in case--he had an allergic reaction that turned half of his face and chest red. Benadryl fixed it right up.

They really helped his shoulder pain where he could actually dress in the AM.

Well they said it would hurt after the lidocaine wore off, and they were right. I had a torn rotator cuff in August that led to a frozen shoulder. Pain in three locations including some bursitis. This first shot was in the front, the second will be at the tip of the shoulder and the third into the bursa.

Not much sleep last night, but I do have a little bit more range of motion this morning than usual. Here's hoping.

Not quite that for me although I have diminished pain at that site and increased range of motion. We'll keep hoping with the other 2 shots.

Hope it works for you. I had one about 4 years ago in my shoulder. Can't say it really helped but it wasn't that bad. Okay, it did smart a bit.

Second shot today, this one into the Sub AC. They supposedly froze it first, but I felt this one all the way down the tendons in my arm. That might be a good sign. Had my first nights sleep in 4.5 months on Monday, so I am still holding out hope.
