Welcome to the_professor, wayneheff, kate, and sherpa john!

I read the UltraRunning board over at CR, and benefited from it. I'm glad to see you all here.

Aw, good ol Mount Misery I love it there. Mount Misery has NOTHING on the mountains in Vermont and defintely nothing on the mountains in the Tetons. Ugh. I think i am going to take some trips out to the Poconos and Tussey before WS and the Tetons in 2008. Its hard for us flatlanders to train for these mountain races

Have you gone up the off beaten track on mount misery? It is steep and very scenic. Good training

Welcome to all.

Quite a few CR's from the ultra board have found the way here. Sweet. More than a handful of new 100 mile ultrarunners here. The more the merrier.

If you're new here, drop off your initiation fee (1 case of beer) at the door.

Cheers! ccasion5:

I spend May, June, and July in Vermont and New Hampshire, so I'm quite familiar with the quad busting climbs I'll be sticking with Florida running all winter to get ready for Umstead...

I did venture a bit off trail on Misery and wound up in someone's backyard. I also loved the fake Revolutionary Way reminants all over the park...and to think that I thought they were real during all those field trips back in the day...

Here from CR boards as well. Posted as "tloft" over there, but not very often. I'll still check in there to see how many remain and what the conversation is like after the dust settles. Only so many opportunities in a day to peruse these boards though and it's nice to have a place to call home. Maybe this will be it. Does the running log here work? I try to log-in and the page just stays as-is, with the keys still pictured on it.
Anyhow, looking forward to my first 100 in May, which will be a very low key affair here in Washington state, the North Bend to Vantage run (www.nb2v.com). Talk to you all soon,

I know the running log here is new, there is a forum here dedicated to it, you can get your answers there

Kickrunners.com never set out to be a CR replacement and does not plan on it. This is a different type of message board. No puppets, no personal attacks, and moderators who moderate when necessary, though we have found that these boards self moderate themselves overall. I just could not stomach the Active forum that coolrunning became and thought you would all like to visit here I hope you enjoy it here. Please check out the other forums on this site. There are a lot of cool functions as well.

There is also a neat calendar function here where you can enter your races on
