Michigan State, Mizzou.....B'Bye

I'm lovin' watching the Duckies.....end of 3rd Quarter. This one is still a ballgame.

Camera guys are having trouble seeing who has the ball....looks like Canajun football where everyone can be in motion.

Loved Oregon's second TD...USC clearly wasn't ready for the play to begin. Gee ya gotta be ready.

Congrats to the Hawkeye's, what an arse whoopin. 30-0 at half time. Very disappointing effort by my Spartans (but all to familiar based on past Spartan teams through the years). I can't justify having the Spartans ranked over Iowa right now, Iowa was 18th, and the Spartans were ranked several notches above where "the eye ball test" would have them due to the zero in the loss column, which is gone now. Could be quite a tumble in the BCS this week. Although MSU by record is on top of the big ten, MSU still has a game AT Happy Valley where they have not won since the 1960's, and rarely hold their own. I just hope we do not see the all too familiar second half cave in and they finish 8-4 and get destroyed in a Christmas Eve bowl game. Wisconsin looks to be the best shape. Iowa and Ohio State still play each other, one of those teams will lose another game. Wisconsin has beaten each team if the head to head is a tie breaker. If BCS is tie breaker, hard to say. Wisconsin will be winning but the Iowa-OSU winner will have a win over another highly ranked team.

I could handle an Oregon vs Auburn BCS game. The score would be 95-82.

I wonder if the Oregon offense feels neglected because they generally play about 1/3 of the game...sometimes less. They must have been totally surprised to be playing ball control in the 4th quarter last night. My goodness they had a scoring drive of nearly 6 minutes....their average is 1:40.

Oregon has no walk in the park to get there though, but I can't see them losing.

I can easily see Auburn losing to Alabama and can also see the possibility of losing to Georgia while looking ahead. They could also lose to Chattanooga...if they forget to go to the game.

I only saw that ND was winning at the half....what a delightful surprise to look at the result. ND is firmly in third place amongst independents...out of three.

In games where teams such as Georgia and Florida play one another it is sad, but one of them has to win.

Oregon is playing about as good as any NCAA team I've seen. They score a ton of points and look good doing it. They have no weaknesses. The only question is who will they play in the biggie. I'd love to see them face Auburn. If they beat Ohio State.....the Big10 doesn't win the big games. If they beat Boise State......see they don't belong there. But if they beat ....THE MIGHTY SEC....then they've really done something.

The Ducks offense is unbelievable. I've been saying that for weeks now.

espn's "Tuesday Morning Quarterback" did a great article on it a few weeks back.

They simply play at a pace that no defense is used to, and even as much as they prepare for it, in the end it wears em down, just like it did Stanford and USC.

The only thing I worry about with Auburn, is that they lose to Alabama in the SEC Championship, and then it ends up Oregon and Alabama with one loss, in the title game.

Boise State and TCU on the outside looking in. And for all the love that Boise State is getting, people seem to forget about TCU. They are pretty much in the same boat.

The only real challenge for Oregon is Oregon State, who have a history of beating top ranked teams ask Pete Carroll. And the annual "civil war" with Oregon is usually always a good game.

That would really end up being a mess, if that happened.

I hope Oregon doesn't blow it. I loved the pace. Yesterday the NFL seemed to be a snoozefest in comparison. I'm a big Boise State fan, but I agree with Brutal that the matchup wouldn't prove anything regardless of who won.

Oregon-Auburn (or Alabama) would be good and Boise State-Wisconsin (or Ohio State) would be fine. I can live with that.

We do have a weakness and that's turning the ball over on special teams, giving the other team a short field. It hasn't hurt us yet, but it's been there all season and in a close game it could haunt us.

Doesn't look like Alabama has any chance at a national championship now. If they can beat Auburn, then the SEC will be left out of the title game for the first time in a ****'s age. But I think Auburn just needs to beat Georgia next week to clinch the SEC West. As far as that goes, the Auburn-Alabama game won't matter. But I'm sure Bama would love to ruin Auburn's chance at a national title...

The ACC Atlantic is a mess. With VaTech rolling in the Coastal, they appear to be the favorite to go to a BCS game.

Oregon, TCU and Boise all rolled.

So the two teams that play for the championship will be from among Auburn, Oregon, TCU, and Boise. The latter two won't lose, but the former two could. It'll be interesting to see how it plays out...

LSU greatly surprises me. Although hopeful, I did not expect them to beat Alabama today. Geaux Tigers! It was a very good game, even if a little sloppy on the part of both sides. Generally I don't care between Alabama and Auburn who wins their game. Not my battle. But being a closet LSU fan (except the few times they play Georgia Tech), I along with every other LSU fan is going to be pulling for Alabama over Auburn in order for LSU to get to the SEC Championship. Of course, that's assuming LSU beats Arkansas and their is no guarantee there.

Right now Boise State could get shut out of a major bowl from what was being shown on the Stanford-Arizona game tonight.

It's exciting and weird.

TCU is home free...they're not going to lose again. They just smoked them Utah Youts

Boise State never was going to lose a game after they played VT...and they won't...Hawaii was in the top 25 in one poll and Boise got 700 yards on them today

Oregon looked so good against USC, but I can see longshot upset possibilities by either Cal or Oregon State....let them lose both...(ok very unlikely...I'm just havin' fun here)

Alabama loses to Mississippi State, but beats Georgia State 31-30 in overtime Reb is revived later in the day at Piedmont Hospital.

Auburn loses to both Georgia and Alabama....the SEC title game will be Georgia vs Mississippi State...nobody cares. (what the Hell...it's been a strange year )

BCS Computer churns out some nonsense about the Akron Zyps...and then explodes

BCS game is TCU vs Boise State.....it's the greatest game ever played, but everyone in the SEC world ( not SE SeaWorld) whines whines and whines some more that they didn't play anybody.

Dear Lord,

All I ask out of this wonderful college football season is that TCU and Boise State each play a traditional powerhouse so we can see if they really are any good or not.

That should be an easy one for you.

And what the Hell Lord....make it 31-30 for Georgia State over Alabama in overtime just for a hoot. (Yeah, I know...but you are God...it can't be any harder than the Red Sea thing)

Bucky gets a first half scare....but then the defense takes care of biz and scores 24 off of Boiler turnovers.
