Confessions.. who are they for?????

<p>What is it with people who feel the need to confess their sins. As if their absolution or easing their conscience is justification for kicking someone else in the stomach.</p>

<p>Do me a favor - if you did something to someone else and they don't know about it and if you tell them for no other reason that YOU will feel better about your screwup? Save them the pain and take it to your grave with ya, k?</p>

<p>There is a bit of the tyranny of the 12 step program too, people coming forward to apologize for things you never knew happened.  There is a clause there though that says that you do that unless doing so would cause more harm.</p>
