OK, we finally got one!

So, questions..

1. is the HRM needed? I have a garmin and can leave that one on, but is it worth it to get a polar, too? Can I wear both at the same time *prob not*

2. how do I get consistent readings? Is it like the regular trainer where I just try to tighten it the same amount every time? any tricks?

3. anyone have any good workouts they can send me? particularly about an hour to build strength?

4. what else do I need to know?

I have 2 courses, CDA and Kona, so if anyone wants to "swap" on a loner program, let me know.

I suggest using the erg mode and doing your workouts against a set load. Start off with a test of your 20 minute power in a rested state, figure out your power zones and do long intervals at tempo, threshold and sub threshold power with short recovery and one or two steady rides at tempo zone a week for 4 weeks, maybe 2x a week quality sessions

to do your self test, just use a course that's real flatand always use the same course and warmup. don't jerk around running before your test, do an easy week and test, always do it the same. 20 mins power x .95 if your ftp, base your workouts on that.

get a large fan if you do not have one.

Multiple fans are better. I have a face fan, a front fan, and sometimes a side fan. Year round I have at least the face fan.
