The purpose of this message is to inform you of VRAA score reporting. We are integrating an enhancement to the scoring system and it's important that I notify each and every one of you.

Most importantly to know, the essence of the VRAA is not changing. Your job stays the same: You workout for the day, then claim your points by posting in the daily thread. That's all we ask of you and we don't want you to change that. The daily thread remains the official record of the day.

Behind the scenes, it's important to know that your captains are working hard for you. In the background, your captain is busy combing the daily thread to tally and report your points. It's a system that we've used in previous VRAA rounds and we are grateful for captains. The VRAA does not happen without the legwork of the captains.

Because it has never been a goal to mandate speedy score reporting, the VRAA standings will ebb-and-flow as the scoring comes in. That's how the VRAA unfolds. We encourage all, including those with infrequent internet access, to participate in the VRAA. We know that some players can only come every several days to report, and we understand. It is not the intent of the VRAA to cause added stress to the lives of its participants. In short, don't stress if you can't make it here each and every day. We know the standings will reflect a little lag time as the scoring reports trickle in.

That all said, Hairy Trotter, myself, and a group of testers have worked together to develop and test a website/database to host our VRAA scoring. It's a simple-to-use website for data entry of the daily VRAA points. This system will help the commissioners and reporters with their jobs, allowing faster updates to the standings and reports. Many thanks to Hairy for his work to this system.

Going forward, it remains the job of your captain to collect and enter in your scores, just as before. The difference now is this: Individual players can (and may) assist their captains with the score input.

Please know that the main Standings thread remains the official results for the game. The new website is only a collection point.

Your captain will announce to you how they wish to roll. Either they will continue to do the bookkeeping for your team, or they may delegate the job to each of you. It's up to your captain, so check with them.

If you are interested in viewing the scoring website, go to:

http://vraa.mootness.net/

Read the home page and you can register to input your points. It is not required, but it is there for you to help your captains. You are able to view yours and your team's point totals.

Thanks to all for your continued support. It is our sincere hope that the VRAA will continue to bring fun and motivation to your daily workouts.

If you have questions, don't hesitate to ask.

Sincerely,
